My guns have killed fewer than Ted Kennedy's car

The one and only lesson I am getting out of reality, human beings can do well apart from firearms. That is a "gimme". Kennedy killed drunk chick. Yep, and how many people did GW Bush slay? Let's think that ditty over.

WTF....this dickhead goes from Guns to Kennedy to Bush....all in one shot....and then we are supposed to think about it.....i can see the guns and the bloated one....but how the hell did you fit Bush in here and why?.....whats he got to do with this thread?

You are in effect questioning a driveling idiot about one of his illogical, irrational, ignorant and sub-moronic assertions. I suspect you will never get any reasonable answer under those conditions.

you are no doubt ...correct...

Curt Cobain said: "Welcome to my kingdom of dirt". Let me paraphrase him, sweet pea. Welcome to hell. Once you get used to it, it ain't sooo bad. It's the getting used too part the takes getting used to. Guns. Illegal Aliens, hell. Anyone can get use to practically ANYTHING, that's what I am learning. Welcome to hell, sweetpea. It aint so bad, once YOU get used to it.

Frank Zappa once said ...."take your head out of your ass"

Fewer Police Officers Killed in Line of Duty in 2008

  • Dec 31, 2008
This year is ending as one of the safest years for U.S. law enforcement in decades. The number of officers killed in the line of duty fell sharply this year when compared with 2007, and officers killed by gunfire reached a 50-year low.

Based on their analysis of preliminary data, the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) and Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) reported on Dec. 29 they found that 140 officers have died in the line of duty this year, a 23 percent reduction from the 2007 figure of 181. Other than 1996, when 139 officers were killed, 2008 represents the lowest year for officer fatalities since 1965, when 136 officers died in the line of duty.

This year's reduction includes a steep, 40 percent drop in the number of officers who were shot and killed, from 68 in 2007 to 41 in 2008. The last time firearms-related fatalities were this low was 1956, when there were 35 such deaths. The 2008 figure is 74 percent lower than the total for 1973, when a near-record high 156 law enforcement officers were shot and killed.

okay I just stumbled on some cool little menu of comments from people, if I was rude in ignoring those please be patient, I'm not sure how these get sent yet

And North Korean nukes have killed less people than George Bush's wars.

Making nonsesical comparisons is fun!

I never claimed to live in a perfect world, Jen-T. Not even in million years, sweetheart. Are you kidding? Would you like to read my post again? ? People with guns scare the holey sh*t outta me. I think, all of them, legal or not, are the problem here. But, that is all I ever meant to say.

There is the crux of the problem. It's not the guns or the lawful gun owners, it's your own irrational fear of inanimate objects like guns. You are suffering from an intense case of hoplophobia.

I know someone's probably said it but JenT you're the first I've ever seen on these boards who's mentioned Rosie, I don't think anyone here cares about her.

You don't get it do you, people can own guns and not have anybody hurt with them, even by accident. Yeah same can be said for a tactical nuclear warhead but a lone gun is rarely a national security threat.

Really? Its not the guns or the gun owners?

So when I hear reports of a shooting in my neighborhood, whose fault is it exactly?
