I think Michelle Obama is poised and gracious in interviews as was Laura Bush. Hillary had and has many wonderful qualities, but I'm not sure I'd describe her as poised and gracious. Brilliant? Check. Ambitious? Check. Power behind the throne? Check. Poised and gracious seems a little lightweight for Hillary.

I will say, though, that the O/P is pretty disrespectful and ugly.... and a few other words I could choose. And if a "leftie" had written anything similar about Laura Bush, the rightwingnuts would have lost their minds.

Michelle Obama is easilly the most poised and gracious First lady since Jackie Kennedy

Laura had a rough road. You know she disagreed with a lot of her husband's policies (especially in the area of reproductive choice). I thought she did remarkably well considering.

Hillary... Pushy feminist? Really? I'd take ten of her over anyone else. I'm not sure that someone who was one of the top 100 lawyers in the U.S. has to be limited to being "poised and gracious".

Barbara? I'll give you that one. I liked her husband better.

Rosalyn? I don't much remember what Rosalyn was like. But I'm not overly fond of her husband.

I liked Nancy. Tough little broad... She held things together for her husband and clearly worshipped the ground he walked on. And I'm glad she worked things out with the kids.

Betty Ford did good with her clinic. And yes, she was a drunk. But so?

As for Sarah... she put her kids in the spotlight. and used them to advance herself politically. the others NEVER used their kids that way. she's a public figure. If she can't handle playing with the big boys, she should get out of the game.

And someone who spent half of her time posting ugly things about anyone she disagrees with, including first ladies (like Hillary), really has no standing to complain.
