peninsula...with isolated maximum amounts of 12 inches possible.
Rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches with isolated maximum amounts

northeastward through new england.

Snowfall...snow accumulations of 2 to 3 feet are expected in the

We have 50 to 60 million citizens in harms way. That is about about 1/5 of this nations citizenry. Citizens of all political views, faiths, colors, and economic status. Those of whatever view that wish to make political points with this storm at this point are demonstrating that they do not understand what survival requires. Everybody is going to be in this together, and there will be some bad surprises, and however badly you disagree with your neighbor, he may be the person that will have to give you shelter, or the other way around.

This is a survival event for many, and it transcends temporary political views.

There is nothing wrong with pointing out the Majority Leader's position on disaster relief.

SANDY IS EXPECTED TO SLAM INTO THE NEW JERSEY COAST LATER MONDAY
NIGHT, BRINGING VERY HEAVY RAIN AND DAMAGING WINDS TO THE REGION.
THE STORM IS A LARGE ONE, THEREFORE DO NOT FOCUS ON THE EXACT CENTER
OF THE STORM AS ALL AREAS WILL HAVE SIGNIFICANT IMPACTS.

THIS HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE AN HISTORIC STORM, WITH WIDESPREAD WIND
DAMAGE AND POWER OUTAGES, INLAND AND COASTAL FLOODING, AND MASSIVE
BEACH EROSION. THE COMBINATION OF THE HEAVY RAIN AND PROLONGED WIND
WILL CREATE THE POTENTIAL FOR LONG LASTING POWER OUTAGES AND SERIOUS
FLOODING.

well i think they are a big deal whenever you are. These could affect people lives. So people need to be ready and ensured they are out of the hurricane way.
