Measuring success in Afghanistan withdrawal

In his remarks Tuesday, Biden said there are about 100 to 200 Americans who remain in Afghanistan. Most are dual citizens, he said, who initially didn't want to leave because of family roots in the country.
And you buy the lie.

Well then it was a total failure by you but you will shift the goal posts as usual.
Another giddy righty glad that a terrorist attack makes him feel better about being partisan. No deaths would have been a success. Your shift to abject failure is problematic but you’re not looking to debate levels of success. You just wanna use those deaths to feel good about being against the President. All the power to ya.

I voted for Biden you, so he failed according to your own OP and now you want it both ways because you know he also failed but can’t admit it.

Had the same failure happened under Trump you would have been giddy and proclaiming failure but it happened under Biden, so now you want to move the goal posts and proclaim it was still success.

So do not make predictions unless you want them to haunt you, and this one should haunt you!

Prediction? Fuck off. It’s not controversial to state no deaths would be a success. It would have been. One terrorist attack now makes it a debate with hindsight. It was a dicey operation.

Poor wittle Citygator upset he has to admit Biden failed in his eyes because left people behind and got soldiers killed.

Just imagine had this happened under Trump how fast you would be saying Trump failed!

We clearly don’t know each other even digitally from this board. I’ve been critical of Biden for several issues. He ain’t perfect and was my 5th pick of the democrats. However this operation was gutsy. The easy thing was claiming we’d get out then leaving office.

Because you have no proof otherwise.
Oh there is proof out there, only you have to employ just the slightest bit of common sense to the problem...

On August 17th Jen Psaki told reporters that 11,000 people had "self reported" to the State Department that they were American citizens and in need of extraction out of the country...

Now, here is where the common sense takes hold, or at least should if your argument is honest.

If on August 17th, the WH was saying that there were 11,000 were reported in country and in need of extraction, then on August 31st the President comes out in his victory lap and lauds that our forces extracted 5,500 American citizens, BUT, all of the sudden only 100 to 200 remain? That simply doesn't add up. They're lying because they don't know, and why don't they know? Because they wrote them off....

Shameful.
