We weren’t driven from Afghanistan in defeat! Biden decided that USA meant Unconditional Surrender of Afghanistan and left all the equipment for Obama’s friends and allies in the Taliban

Beyond a truce with US forces the Taliban reneged on everyone of the other 6 commitments in they agreement too with The Donald within weeks of the signing.. Benedict knew this and still ordered the Generals to comply with all 8 of ours, including the above mentioned troop withdrawals, abandoning 5 military bases, and forcing the Afghans into a 5 to 1 prisoner swap where they had to release 5,000 Taliban fighters. Furthermore, the troop reductions after the initial July deadline continued and culminated with an order to reduce the troop level to 2,500 by Jan 15, just days before Biden took office. This was the number of troops the Generals said they needed to support our one time allies, the Afghan army, who had been fighting the Taliban throughout 2020. That is the reason the Taliban was in a commanding position and the Afghan Troops were demoralized and ready to abandon the fight. The Generals all testified under oath to Congress about the evacuation and their orders to degrade all US equipment they had to leave behind putting and end to the rabid right wing myth that the equipment was abandoned in full working order for the Taliban. Biden had a choice, complete the evacuation or return to combat with the Taliban, because the truce was going to end.
