Currently reported on MSNBC. Apparently ABC is the original reporting source. Apparently we won't know details until maybe tomorrow.

Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort has tentatively agreed to a plea deal with special counsel Robert Mueller that will head off his upcoming trial, sources familiar with the negotiations tell ABC News.

The deal is expected to be announced in court Friday, but it remains unclear whether Manafort has agreed to cooperate with prosecutors or is simply conceding to a guilty plea, which would allow him to avoid the stress and expense of trial, according to three sources with knowledge of the discussions.

I saw something about that earlier. Seems that Manafort is looking for a way to get a lesser sentence, because he knows that a pardon isn't going to help.

Manafort's second trial is due to start on September 24. He is facing much more serious charges for that one.

A plea deal is a plea deal. Happens every day, to save both sides the cost of a trial in exchange for a lesser sentence.

It does not mean he has agreed to be a witness for the prosecution against Trump. Don't get a boner just yet.

Wait for facts.

BOOM!! :D

U.S. President Donald Trump‘s former campaign chairman Paul Manafort is close to reaching a plea deal with Special Counsel Robert Mueller but an agreement has not been concluded, a source familiar with the matter said on Thursday.

“It’s close but not there yet,” the source said of negotiations in Mueller’s investigation of U.S. intelligence agencies’ conclusions that Russia interfered in the 2016 U.S. election, which Moscow denies.

Earlier, ABC News, citing three unnamed sources with knowledge of the discussions, said Manafort had tentatively agreed to a plea deal and it was expected to be announced at a court hearing on Friday in Washington.

ABC News said it remained unclear whether Manafort had also agreed to cooperate with prosecutors.

Manafort lawyer Kevin Downing and Mueller spokesman Peter Carr declined to comment on the ABC News report.

That's a darn shame... now we won't get to see and hear all the evidence Mueller's prosecutors had.... this works out great for Trump and the elite/elect Republicans running, not having this trial exposing all the Russian ties, right before the election....

Manafort's expecting the pardon Trump promised him for ''not ratting him out''

Still no evidence of Russian collusion presented...more 'wait and see' BS.

Would Mueller agree to a deal where Manafort gets a walk on all charges- including those he already went on trial for- if Manafort agrees to lie about President Trump accusing him of everything from anal relations with Uncle Pooty to full responsibility for Hurricane Florence?

Still no evidence of Russian collusion presented...more 'wait and see' BS.
There has been MORE THAN ENOUGH evidence that the Trump campaign was working with the Russians to affect the election.... 70 meetings or contacts with the Russians by his campaign, NRA taking money from Russian oligarch's to fund Trump ads, Meetings in the Seychelles to set up a secret communication's source with the Russians, Cambridge Analytica and the Russian connection marketing campaign, Flynn promising sanctions put on the Russians by Obama would be removed, the Trump Tower meeting with 6 Russian operatives, Roger Stone working with Wikileaks on the timing of release and content of the Russian stolen emails of the DNC and Clinton Campaign, Peter Smith working with the Russians to find Clinton missing emails, Trump calling for the Russians to find the missing 30k emails of Hillary, Trump LYING about the meeting in Trump tower, Kushner trying to set up a 'back door' communication means with the Russians, Russian money laundering through Trump real estate, and a THOUSAND more things showing the Trump campaign's collusion with the Russians....

You all are just stuck on stupid in your Fox news/Trump State TV bubble.... ignorance is bliss, I suppose....

Who wouldn't take that kind of deal? The question is weather Montiforte can shed light on the crazy allegations of collusion that has all but been abandoned.
