Capitalism is what this country is about and what has made us great.

How about passing laws that make the pie BIGGER?
If you want a larger slice of the existing pie, which has been shrunk by government being too large, then work harder to get it.
Why should it be my responsibility to get my family their "fair",whatever the hell fair is, share and also work to give someone else their supposed "fair" share.
Lower government expenses and the pie gets bigger for everyone. Called economic GROWTH.

The problem we have seen in the last 30 years is that as that pie has grown the workers real salary has remained the same or decreased while the CEOs and other executives has seen their salary increase tenfold.

Standard or living for middle and lower class is declining....it is not something we should be proud of

I agree with that but we fail to fix the problem. Biggest problem is we graduatetoo many with degrees
in things there are no jobs for whileour engineering and math graduates are too few.
We are a health care provider economy for the "I got mine and do not want anyone else to get any" society.
With the deficit at 50K per person now every American that gets any kind of government check, whether they earned it or not, has to take a hit. Social security and Medicare to start, defense the last. No one that has served shouyld take a financial hit but at somepoint we have to cut the nealth benefits for NON combat or service related illnesses of vets.
My point is if you want a bigger slice of the pie work2 jobs. In my 2os I worked THREE JOBS at one point and went to school.Of course the 3 jobs were part time.

The reality is that most middle class families now have to work two jobs (husband and wife) to maintain the same standard of living their parents and grandparents had with one job.

The top 10% of earners are getting more income and more wealth without having to double their productivity

For the last 30 years we have seen the wealth being redistributed in this nation. From the working poor and the middle class to the wealthy. Time for it to go in the opposite direction in a major way.

Good capitalism is redistribution of wealth. A person with a good idea can use that to gain wealth, and create a better society. What we have seen for the last 30 years is people that are scamming the system amassing the wealth. Salaries of CEOs going from 30 times that of the worker to 600 to 1000 times that of the average worker. Yet the CEO of a corperation is just another hireling.

We have seen people in banks and investment house manipulate paper so that real money is taken out of circulation, where it could support real investment, and put into the pockets of those that blow it on nothing that aids society. And that is what has created the present economic crisis.

The rich have lobbied for lower tax rates, relaxed labor rules, government incentives....all in the name of creating more jobs and more wealth for everyone. It obviously never happened....the rich became richer and the working class saw a decline in their standard of living

Its a tough question to answer. The easy answer is to return to tax rates from 10 years ago as a start. The second thing is the conservatives have lumped the tax rates of the super wealthy with the upper middle class in the name of "fairness". This has protected hundreds of billions of wealth from taxation

Other than that, you would have to go through thousands of pages of tax code to find out exemptions and subsidies that allow the super wealthy to protect themselves

All we are proposing is a "Trickle Up" Economy. Putting money back into the hands of the Middle Class will increase consumer spending, savings, housing, automobiles, entertainment, food services...

And who will benefit from this Trickle UP? The Wealthy

This rising tide of the Economy will make them more money!
