Illegals generally rent instead of buy. It's very easy to find an unscrupulous/sympathetic landlord, especially when cash is involved. It would be the rare landlord that would turn down a tenant willing to pay more than the asked rent in cash each month, regardless of the tenant's situation. There doesn't even have to be a lease agreement. It's also much easier to "relocate" since there would be absolutely no paper trail and no money would be lost by abandoning a rental unit as opposed to a house.
If one were to actually buy, it's almost as easy but more paperwork is involved. All they would have to do is have a legal citizen relative or friend go through the procedure for them and sign the papers. All the checks in the world wouldn't find anything to disqualify them, if that were to happen. Much safer than using stolen IDs.

Thanks for the post. I do however believe the jobs that illegals fill in the construction industry have a major impact on wages and bid viability in localized markets. I have lost many a bids to crews that use illegals because of massive undercutting. That doesn't just affect me but everyone in the industry.
An anecdote that is quite telling I can offer is a ACOE job I was on when Clinton was president. We were building new housing at Whiteman AFB and Clinton was scheduled to visit. 3 school busses of illegal aliens & wanted criminals were hauled off after a surprise inspection a few days prior to his visit. Including one of the job foremans.

Most of the idiots posting on this site have no idea how invasive & damaging illegal immigration is to average Americans.
That was ONE jobsite that could have employed 3 busloads of Americans in need of work.

A copy of the borrower's driver's license and social security card are required, and if a financial institution does their due diligence, a check is done on the social security number.

None of which would keep someone from buying the house, or paying for it even if it wasn't in their name. Unlike other nations we don't have a national ID.

Presenting a fake social security number will most certainly prevent you from buying real estate. Do you know something the rest of us don't about forgery?

That seems like a pretty big risk to take and for what? What was he really doing on this public pier with a stolen gun? Certainly it was NOT to kill Katy.

I guess my point is that the chances of the average American coming to harm by a dufus that has entered the country FIVE times with a stolen Government issue pistol is incredibly small.
