Karl Marx Did Not Invent Socialism

Communism was experimentally implemented in the USSR and later abandoned because it was economically infeasible. The Parties were communist and communism was their inherent goal. Socialism is considered by them to be transitory to communism.

History of socialism - Wikipedia

It was invented during the French Revolution of 1789.
The system of economics used in the Soviet Union was socialism, not Communism.
USSR stands for "Union of Soviet Socialist Republics."

Communist is the name of a political party.

Actually "communism" as a practice is an economic system. Matter of fact your own post above notes this, and then promptly contradicts it.

And as such it's been used here and there for centuries, notably by Christian groups following the Book of Acts, and by intentional Utopian societies.

Christian Communism

No, communism was a Jesuit idea of the catholic cult and put into practice in South America (namely Paraguay in 1607). Karl Marx had a Jesuit mentor as well as Friedrich Engles...as usual, you are far off of the mark.

There were so many types of socialism that Marx named his socialism, Scientific Socialism. Communism is the name of an economic-political system, that Karl Marx created. Scientific Socialism was the period to teach how to enter and create a communist system. Russia dropped the Scientific Socialism first and later dropped communism. No nation practices Marx's communism today. Many practice some socialism as does the USA. and the USA has practiced it since it became a nation, and probably before.

Ummm...... no Blinky. The Hutterites were doing it before then in Tyrol. And they're still doing it today. And they're not even Catholic. And that's just my personal experience example; see my link. That's why the fuck I put it there.

Marx abandoned his theories after Karl Menger and others published their papers on economics. Engels kept 'Marxism' alive, out of his own self-interest. IT was Engels who wrote vols. II and III of Das Kapital, based on Engel's selective editing of Marx's crappy notes, many of which Engels burned so his writings in vols. II and III couldn't be proven false. Eleanor Marx said Engels spent days burning her father's papers and notes after his death. He spent his time after 1871 babbling rubbish about 'the commune' and other nonsense, and did no more work on his 'labor theory'.

Communal tribal living types of arrangements have nothing to do with Marxism, despite what a bunch of dumbass stoners dodging the draft and hanging around colleges in the 1960's were told. Hippies and their fans are full of crap.

So where do you get your information on communism?

From Communists.

Native American tribes, for instance, didn't progress from industrial capitalism to their form of tribal communal arrangements; the Marxist versions aren't comparable, as they will be allegedly 'advanced technological and progressive' societies. Marx, and most Communists, didn't think 'barbarians' capable of developing advanced social structures. You can probably Google Scholar his opinions on race and tribal cultures and the like that existed during his lifetime.

Karl Marx created his version of communism,. Socialism had been created long before Marx, whatever socialism might be. Marx did create Scientific Socialism; that no nation had used before and maybe none have used since.
The Republican party has used socialism as a scare word for some time now, and perhaps that is the new version?

The new 'scientific' secular cult version requires gulags, deliberate famines, and murders of 100's of millions; not really any different than pagan brutalism, just that they can kill a lot more using 'rationalism' and 'scientific methods' for the slaughters.

Map of countries that declared themselves or were declared to be socialist states under the Marxist-Leninist or Maoist definition at some point in their history. The map uses present-day borders. Note that not all of these countries were Marxist-Leninist or Maoist at the same time.

Communist states can be administered by a single, centralised party apparatus, although countries such as the DPRK have several parties. These parties usually are Marxist–Leninist or some variation thereof (including Maoism in China and Juche in North Korea), with the official aim of achieving socialism and progressing toward communism.

Marx provided a fully developed theoretical basis for moving mankind from one social relationship of development to a different, some might say, more enlightened social relationship of development. It's over 130 years since he passed and his ideas are still relevant.
