I was saying in another thread that it would have been much easier than people think. He had several days to bring them in from only 80 miles away, and nobody is going to give some older white guy a second glance. As far as I know no hotels make you go through metal detectors or anything. They aren't exactly terrorist targets.

You can stuff anything you want in bags and the cleaners will never dare move, open them, or look inside. That's how it works. Remember, the guy rented a huge double suite the size of a small apartment.

Everyone there has lots of bags. It's a tourist town. The security is busy focusing on the players on the casino floor - that's what they're there for - not to examine every visitor's bags for hidden weapons. There are more than 3,000 rooms at Mandalay Bay, and there are people coming and going from them all the time.

I can fit both my AR-15 and my AR-10 in a small backpack, broken down.

It wouldn't be that hard to sneak them into a hotel room in Vegas.

In fact, now that I think of it, I may have already done it. Me and some friends stayed in Vegas as the last night of our BLM-land camping trip, and we had a bunch of guns with us.

I don't remember if we left them in the car, or brought them to our rooms - but either way, it wouldn't have been difficult.

A 64 year old man there for two days to see a country music festival, hauling all that ordinance and supplies to his room looks suspicious in light of the fact that most people just have a scant amount of luggage. Unanswered is did he act alone?. Right now, everything is just speculation. The heavily editorialized MSM cannot be trusted. As a reporter, that would be an angle I'd look at.

This incident just happened, complaining that every bit of video evidence isn't available through the media right now seems premature, at best.

Who decides which bit of video evidence needs to be made available to the public immediately after an incident happens? I'm not saying evidence should remain hidden forever, but this shooting just occurred. Releasing evidence could impact the investigation, it could tip off possible other suspects, it could make it more difficult to find an impartial jury in the event of a trial, there could be regulations or laws regarding the release of security footage, perhaps the hotel would block its release, I don't know. I just find the idea that any particular piece of video evidence of a shooting that just occurred should already be available to the general public unrealistic.
