Just how intelligent are Trump supporters?

"Ho-hum, Trump threatened to close the border again. Trump told a Michigan crowd he.would "close the damn border next week" if Mexico did not do more to stem illegal immigration."

That was written last Friday, one day after Trump made the meaningless threat. The implication of my statement was that, in keeping with "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" principle, Trump would back down. It was only a matter of time.

Trump thought last week was a good time to push for repeal and replace Obamacare.

"Let me tell you exactly what my message is: The Republican party will soon be known as the party of health care," Trump told reporters on Capitol Hill. "You watch."

The Republican failure to deal with health care when they controlled both houses of Congress led to their downfall in the 2018 mid-terms. The lost the House of Representatives, state houses, state legislatures, and held on the Senate by the skin of their teeth despite having 26 to 9 advantage in the races.

In terms of the destruction of his own party, Trump wasn't through. Next, he proclaimed that he intended in shut down the southern border if Mexico didn't comply with his demands. Economics 101 tells us shutting down the border would cause an economic apocalypse.

As expected, Trump is backing down on both issues. This has happened over and over again. A sensible person never takes Trump's threats seriously.

I wrote that on Tuesday. At the same time Trump changed his mind about the public release of Mueller Report.

Facing widespread opposition, Trump backed down Thursday from his threat to close the southern border, instead giving Mexico a “one-year warning.”

After his foolish announcement last week his aides were baffled. The Post, writes "In the days after his tweet, Trump and his senior advisers issued conflicting signals about his intentions, with some aides privately expressing befuddlement over his strategy. The president offered no public details, and aides worked behind-the-scenes to craft a plan that would satisfy Trump but minimize the economic harm."

"Those efforts were rendered moot on Thursday when Trump, in an exchange with reporters at the White House, suddenly shifted gears, saying that if Mexico does not stem the flow of drugs and migrants into the United States within the next year, he will impose first tariffs on cars and then, possibly, close the border."

“We’re going to give them a one-year warning, and if the drugs don’t stop or largely stop, we’re going to put tariffs on Mexico and products, particularly cars,” Trump said. “And if that doesn’t stop the drugs, we close the border.”

Can we believe anything the man says?

So, Trump abandons one threat and issues another.

Who gives a shyt?

This is called Real News you just never heard of that before. You’re welcome :)

That's very good. Trump's doing the best he can for America, day in and day out. One can't ask for much more than that.

IMO, he's like a rich Truman. He don't care, and he's going to do what he thinks is right, and I appreciate that.

Not sure I think The Donald is all talk and no action on the Illegal Invaders and also closing the American border, the below article releasing more than 100,000 of Illegal Invaders into the American population not the situation if The Donald was serious about stopping these Illegal Invaders and also closing the American border, The Donald is CONTINUING to operate with the SAME Catch And Release that Obama did. The below article says that on current rates by the end of 2019 The Donald will have allowed more than 500,000 - HALF A MILLION - Illegal Invaders to be released into the American population, if so then The Donald ALL talk and NO action and as bad as Obama for supporting the Illegal Invasion of America from Third World Shit Holes.

Trump’s DHS Releases More than 17K Illegal Aliens into U.S. in 12 Days

Illegal-aliens-released-640x480.jpg

President Trump’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is continuing its mass release of border crossers and illegal aliens into the interior of the United States, most recently releasing more than 17,000 migrants in less than two weeks.

According to newly obtained data by Breitbart News, DHS released about 17,065 border crossers and illegal aliens into the interior of the U.S. between March 21 and April 1, a mere 12-day period. Since December 21, 2018, DHS has released about 125,565 border crossers and illegal aliens into the interior of the country.

The Catch and Release process often entails federal immigration officials busing border crossers into nearby border cities and dropping them off with the promise that they will show up for their immigration and asylum hearings, sometimes years later. The overwhelming majority of border crossers and illegal aliens are never deported from the country once they are released into the U.S.

Since December 21, 2018, DHS has released:

    • 12,745 border crossers into the San Diego, California area
    • 22,000 border crossers into the Phoenix, Arizona area
    • 37,500 border crossers into the El Paso, Texas area
    • 53,320 border crossers into the San Antonio, Texas area
In the last 12 days, DHS released nearly 6,000 border crossers and illegal aliens into the San Antonio area, alone, forcing American communities to absorb the influx of soaring illegal immigration levels at the U.S.-Mexico border.

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has been tasked with releasing border crossers and illegal aliens into the interior of the U.S., ICE officials have confirmed, under the direction of DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and Acting ICE Director Ron Vitiello.

The Catch and Release policy has strained ICE resources, forcing fewer arrests of illegal aliens living in the interior of the country in recent months.

At current rates, DHS is on track to release about 500,000 border crossers and illegal aliens into the interior of the U.S. by the end of this year. The mass release of border crossers has coincided with a surge of illegal immigration at the southern border, where about one to 1.5 million illegal aliens, in total, could arrive in the U.S. this year at current projections.

This is a big problem.

In 2020 The Donald needs his Base to vote for him again if not he is fucked and he knows that. His Base needs to let him know how angry and disappointed they are with him, he reads Twitter etc so that is the way to tell him that IF he does not stop his continuing with Obama's Catch And Release of Illegal Invaders and also IF he does NOT do something as he said about that DACA thing and IF he does NOT either close the America border OR STFU about how he is going to close it - the THIRD time The Donald has said he is going to close that border and the THIRD time he is backing out of closing that border - then his Base in 2020 is NOT going to vote for him they will stay at home on election day.

It is no use The Donald doing x,y,z GREAT things for the American Economy and other situations IF he is allowing all these Third World Shit Holers into America who in 10,15 years time WILL be given the proceeds of whatever The Donald is doing and the American workers will get ZERO. It is also no use if in 2020 and 2024 many of the Illegal Invaders The Donald is allowing in are going to get to VOTE in American elections because they are NOT going to vote Republican they are going to vote Democrat.

Trump supporters are addicted to Trump's speeches just like they're addicted to oxycontin!

Remember all those quality people Trump hired when he first became President? Well, except for a few minor members of his cabinet who we never hear from, they are all gone. A few more joined the historical, or is it hysterical, exit in the past few days.

Three days ago, Ronald D. Vitiello, the acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Trump’s nominee to take the job permanently, was told to step aside so the administration could go in a “tougher direction,” as Trump put it.

Yesterday Trump forced the resignation of DHS secretary, Kirstjen Nielsen.

Today, the White House announced the departure of Randolph D. Alles, the director of the Secret Service, who had fallen out of favor with the Trump even before a security breach at his Mar-a-Lago club that the agency effectively blamed on Trump’s employees.

The illegal immigration fanatic, Stephen Miller, appears to be in charge, and two more top department figures were expected to leave soon as well: L. Francis Cissna, the head of United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, and John Mitnick, the department’s general counsel and a senior member of Ms. Nielsen’s leadership team.

What exactly does all this mean? Trump has gone through six communication directors. Currently, Trump is his own communication director. Trump has an acting chief of staff, acting secretary of defense, acting U.N. ambassador, acting secretary of Interior, acting Office of Management and Budget director, acting FEMA director, and acting Small Business Administration director.

In a tweet, Trump announced Nielsen’s replacement. Kevin McAleenan will become the acting head of DHS.

James M. Murray, a career Secret Service official, will become the acting head of the Secret Service.

A senior administration official told CNN that Nielsen “believed the situation was becoming untenable with the President becoming increasingly unhinged about the border crisis and making unreasonable and even impossible requests.”

Many can believe that.

Trump said he would "close the damn border next week" if Mexico did not do more to stem illegal immigration.

“We’re going to give [Mexico] a one-year warning. I don't think we'll ever have to close the border because the penalty of tariffs on cars coming into the United States from Mexico, at 25%, will be massive," Trump said.

Trump said he didn’t change his mind about closing the border with Mexico. “I may shut it down at some point,” Trump said.

The Washington Post reported that on two occasions — in November and again in February — the White House had tried to pressure Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials to deposit immigrant detainees in “sanctuary cities.”

This was just a suggestion that was floated and rejected, which ended any further discussion,”

Due to the fact that Democrats are unwilling to change our very dangerous immigration laws, we are indeed, as reported, giving strong considerations to placing Illegal Immigrants in Sanctuary Cities only....

....The Radical Left always seems to have an Open Borders, Open Arms policy – so this should make them very happy!

Trump's fans are right about one thing. When our President makes a complete idiot of himself, that tends to bother normal Americans.

The Washington Post reported that on two occasions — in November and again in February — the White House had tried to pressure Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials to deposit immigrant detainees in “sanctuary cities.”

This was just a suggestion that was floated and rejected, which ended any further discussion,”

To give you some idea how stupid Trump is, he has done this before, making outrageous statements -- in this case suggesting that his help break our laws -- to endear himself to his base while pissing off everyone else. His base loves this stuff, even though they know these things never happen. They aren't nearly as stupid as Trump.

Just how stupid is that? Trump's base consists of roughly 35 to 40% of the electorate. As the 2018 mid-terms showed, that is not enough to win general elections. Despite that obvious fact, Trump makes no attempt to broaden his support beyond his base. He does the very opposite. Because they are attention getters, his outrageous statements infuriates the other 60% of the American electorate, driving them away.

From a politician's standpoint, you can't get any more stupid than that. It's probably mental.

Really? He's giving the leaders and residents of sanctuary cities what they want.

Are you saying illegal immigration is not the net positive the left claims?

There’s two reasons why Whites call people of colour (especially Black people) “racist.” First of all, it comes from a lack of understanding of the term (through ignorance or willful ignorance and hatred), its history and its consequences. As long as “racism” is viewed solely as “one person being mean to another person because of their race” or basically solely as an individual and arbitrary instance of prejudice with equal social capital between the individuals, Whites can obscure or ignore the ramifications of the historical (whether implied, microaggressions or overt racism), institutional, structural and systemic manifestations of White supremacy (which does NOT require extremism to exist) and racism.

A Black person being insulted based on slurs that facilitate(d)(s) oppression and genocide for centuries and that same sentiment behind that slur facilitates the denial of a plethora of opportunities as well as supports a plethora of types of discrimination and punishment represents a different magnitude and scope of an insult versus a Black person “hurting” a White person’s feelings, even if the former is rude. Oppression is about more than hurt feelings. The latter doesn’t even begin to encapsulate what the former is. Further, individual acts of harm from a person of colour to a White person may be an insult, a tort or a crime—but it does not connect to violence (which is more than just physical) used to facilitate the oppression of an entire people. (Even so, because the criminal justice system is about punishing Blacks and “protecting” Whites, a White person wouldn’t have to have the expectation that a Black person would go unpunished for harming them.

Many times an insult is not occurring—it’s just a Black person adamantly rejecting White supremacy. The rejection of White supremacy and racism themselves is not “reverse racism.” Rejecting White supremacy is not then telling Whites to be “ashamed” of Whiteness, as they should be able to live and thrive without the lie that is the claim of inherent superiority.

What a steaming pile, you fucking racist.

Trump loves to draw attention to himself by making threats. He does not realize that he is making a complete fool of himself. Like the boy who cried wolf, we no longer believe his threats. We know it is just Trump, and there have been far too many meaningless threats.

Trump made threats against NBC, says 'licenses must be challenged'

Trump issued a direct threat to the media

Trump threatened the media for its critical coverage

Trump threatened North Korea with "fire and fury"

Trump threatened another shutdown over the border wall

Trump threatened our Constitution claiming he has the right to usurp the power of the purse from Congress.

Trump threatened to impose a 25% tariff on $250B Chinese goods

Trump threatened to close the southern border last week

We are indeed, as reported, giving strong considerations to placing Illegal Immigrants in Sanctuary Cities.

Aw, it's just Trump. What an idiot.

Trump's supporters claim issuing threats is a tactic Trump uses to get things done. Great, someone tell me what he has accomplished with his threats. Because they accurately report what Trump says and does, the media is still going strong. Trump has since fell in love with Kim and North Korea continues to develop its missiles and bombs. The threat to our Constitution is very real, and one may ask if that is considered an accomplishment. Months after cancelling his tariff threat, there is still no deal with China.

More than likely, Trump makes outrageous threats to draw attention away from a very serious problem he has -- the allegations contained in the Mueller Report. His hit man, Barr, has been far too obvious, and he is beginning to back down. Barr was forced to admit to Senators that he will not use redactions to hide the allegations against Trump.
