You cannot make a profit on livestock on 14 acres of a farm that would not feed enough cows to pay $8000 taxes, protein supplements to support a herd large enough to pay taxes, put food on the table, pay utilities, and gas for automobiles and a truck plus diesel for my Kubota tractor. I can't even buy a front end loader part for my tractor, since I didn't get one with my purchase of a new Kubota 10 years ago. The manufacturer made certain my model would never have front end loaders available in the future unless I could get one someone else got rid of in a fire sale to a broker who'd hike the price higher than the cost of a new tractor. Just how hateful is that for a system of sales to force people to buy a new tractor with a front end loader that will not accommodate old specific-use parts from the same company.

The bank has nothing to do with my farm. I spent all the money I had on paying cash fer it. I did not anticipate a $3000 tax hike on the place when I started on Social Security a few years later, and I'm disabled so I can't just run out to the employment office and find a job that tolerates somebody missing for several days a week while dealing with one health issue after another that fibromyalgia causes.
