Yes. Plenty of them.

Matt Conrad, Tom Holtz, Jennifer Brown... those are some I knew personally, circa late eighties. There have been thousands of candidate run for local, state and national office in the forty years since it formed, so I'm sure there have been many others.

It's true that the attempt to co-opt libertarian ideas, and voters, has been more vigorously (though superficially) pursued by Republicans than by Democrats, but it's not accurate to view libertarians as an 'offshoot' of the Republican party. The party was formed by people fed up with the statist tendencies of both major parties.
