Zone1 in favor of a more Generalized Economic Engine?

You people always seem to ignore the fact that even the average person can use this current economic model to his advantage

Perhaps the common factor across ALL societies is decadence.

Perhaps, instead of trying to control how people make and spend their money, embrace the freedom to choose and let the market decide.
i think that to arrive at a solution, we'd need to combat greed and the hoarding of money as well.

please do explain. maybe write a book/brochure and add something to your own bottomline?
Do you really think you are powerless to improve your own financial situation?
Do you really think that a bunch of CEOs give a single fuck if you become financially independent and are actively trying to hold you back?

The point is, ladies and gentleman, that greed -- for lack of a better word -- is good.

Greed is right.

Greed works.

Greed clarifies, cuts through, and captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit.

Greed, in all of its forms -- greed for life, for money, for love, knowledge -- has marked the upward surge of mankind.

And greed -- you mark my words -- will not only save Teldar Paper, but that other malfunctioning corporation called the USA.

Sure, because there is nothing flawed about 100 fat lazy 'investors'(snicker) trying to live off dividends generated by 5 workers. It's 'free market magic' according to Wall Street.

Owning a small piece of a business is not being lazy. It's realizing the system of capitalism cam work for everyone, even the people with modest incomes.

But you people want to whine about some rich people who you think are actively holding you back

lol rubbish, it's all about mooching off somebody else's labor and expertise, while contributing nothing at all to the success or failure. Then you can run away from real ownership responsibility with little cost to yourself, thanks to 'limited liability' scams.

No it's not.

Companies sell stock so they can have an influx of capital to use to expand their businesses so that corp is using your money and there is no guarantee that anyone will get a return on it.

And avoid admitting shareholders aren't going to be held responsible for the company's debts when it goes bankrupt, nor held responsible for the criminal acts their company commits if they get caught, like a real owner would be, and most will contribute nothing to the success or failure of the business, just leech profits off it. They are risking no more than what a gambler would be losing making a bet. Remove the limited liability scam and you might have a point, otherwise you're just full of shit like every other gambler posing as 'investors n stuff'.

No one holding stock in a publicly traded company is liable for the debts of that company

Yes, that what I said, they're just leeches protected by the Fed from liability losses due to their bad choices. Nothing 'free market' about that, but you obviously are oblivious to the hypocrisy. Same as none of the 'free marketers' ever step in to bail out market crashes with their own money, or pay the Fed back for their bailouts, they just snivel about da Ebul guvmint makes them pay taxes on their gambling winnings n stuff. The fact is they should pay a premium luxury tax on such 'gains' and dividends. An additional 50% is more than fair.

You obviously have no idea what 'shareholder' means.

There has never been a free market.
