There are 2 Senators from every state and they have their representatives in the house to bring their voices to the congress. We do not need the EC any more. The population of the US in 1800 was about 5 million and only 13 states, people were uneducated and the workers did not vote, or the women or blacks, only the rich white men aka the founders.
Most workers did not even know who was running when the EC was invented.
That is the wrong way of looking at it. Without the EC most states would get left behind. Once you understand the cocept of the sovereignty of each state you’ll understand that the EC is a system that affectively makes sure that all of them have representation in our presidential elections. I like my M1A because of the nostalgia of using a M-14 in the Army. 'Merica!
I like my AR-10 because it is a good scope platform.
I like my FAL because, well, just because.
fred flintstone had iron sights on his brontosaurus whackerI -DO- have a good mount for my M1 Garand - but it requires the removal of the rear sight drum.I tied scoping my M1As because of my aging eyesight. I just couldn't see anything with iron sights.This is true - optic options for the M14 are limited - I have never used one on mine.The FAL is a better scope platform.
Over the years I have tried almost every scope solution for the M1A and none of them are very good.
However, last year I got cataract surgery and it corrected a lot of my problems and nowadays I can use iron sights the same as when was younger.
One of the first things I did was take the scopes off the M1As.
