I didn't hear about Illinois wanting to do that. So far, NJ and some areas in Oregon have that bill on the books.

New Jersey is now the only state with complete ban on self-service gas pumps

Fair enough. But why MANDATE it? There are full service gasoline stations in these parts too, but not that many.

Fair enough. But why MANDATE it? There are full service gasoline stations in these parts too, but not that many.

Because if given the choice, they will leave a few overpriced full service pumps and get you to go self serve
