If Universal Healthcare is a Bad Idea...

Who should go without?

People on social programs. Every time this subject comes up in the media, their first concern is what about the poor people? Well, what about the working people is my question?

Working people are the ones who are paying for the non-working, and some of us working people don't have coverage ourselves. In the meantime, the poor are popping out kids like a popcorn machine and the rest of us have to support them including their medical.

So poor children and the elderly who are poor should go without?

Do you have a good argument as to why those groups should be punished for doing no wrong?

Those not paying in. If you want universal healthcare then you must have universal paying for it right? Not this shit you try to sell where one group pays and others don't. Fuck that. Let's all pay equally for the exact same benefits. No specialists because that would mean someone gets more benefit. No, we all get the same treatment. We just draw a line at what basic care should be and those that exceed that limit get to die... with dignity I believe is how the English court phrased it.

You want universal care then drop the bullshit about caring for people. You just want your shit payed for. How about you pony up and pay what everyone else has to. And if you fall outside that... there's always the dignified way out.

The republican elected officials should be the ones who do without health care. Also, the religious Right (god will heal them).

But, seriously, NY, do you really want the RW people to reveal just how mean spirited they really are to the poor, elderly, and children? I find it downright depressing, myself.

I have universal health care for everybody over 65 in America, and I paid for it myself out of every paycheck that I earned from 1959 until my retirement, so why don't you just fuck yourself?

Do you have a good argument why those who support themselves should be punished for doing no wrong?

So what is the system we have now? The poor children get healthcare and the working people that provide that care don't? As far as Medicare goes, working people pay into that program their entire working lives.

Because their own self worth is completely reliant on what they can laud over others.
