That is why it is an "investment". Investors take risks and they can win or lose and I bet you those investors wrote off the investment on their taxes. So they paid zero taxes on the investment.

Cuban doesn't know what he chooses to use for tax breaks. He takes every legal deduction he can, to believe otherwise is foolish. Their tax consultants are paid to find deductions and tax laws that favor them.

Again, Congress writes the laws, I blame them for the tax codes and the big breaks they decided to give the rich.

People say that tax laws like this "benefit the rich." Well yea, because you're always going to be too poor for it it affect you.

The reason these tax laws exist is to spur growth and investment. If investors know that if they invest 100 million into something and it fails, they can at least write it off on their taxes. That makes it a little less risky and painful to actually invest. That investment might be a casino (employing hundreds, if not thousands of people) or a hotel (employing hundreds) or even a strip mall (employing hundreds). Without the tax incentive the wealthy are less likely to invest. It's not you buying groceries at Wal Mart that spurs economic growth in this country, its the wealthy like Donald Trump putting his own money on the line to build hotels and such that give people jobs.

In the end its the poor folks like us who benefit, but you have to stop seeing the world through an us versus them mentality to actually see it.
