If we're truly smarter than why as babies do we have to be fed as to where an ape baby just eats normally without assistance? Why do we have to wear diapers? As other animals just poop in a normal way as a baby?

An ape baby sucks on it's mother's tits too, just like our baby's do.

Human babies wear diapers as a convenience to the parents. It has nothing to do with intelligence, on behalf of the baby. And all mammal suckle at their mothers teats. So no difference there.

I dont believe Ape babies start eating adult Ape foods right away. They drink mothers milk too. I think researchers have determined that human babies have the ability to absorb more information into their brain than these other animals.... which is why the human baby begins to understand language early on.

Phaw ... [hand wave] ... human craniums are larger than most by proportion ... it is require to twist, torque and narrow in order to pass through the birth canal ... the brain remains mostly undeveloped because otherwise it couldn't withstand the ordeal ... thus we have no-brain infants ...

This doesn't last ... most have master human language by two-year-old ... before housebreaking ...

Humans are the only animal where the mother requires assistance during child birth ... and juveniles take a longer percentage of life to grow to reproductive age ... just one more failure in evolution's search for perfection ...

I dunno about you, but I pooped just fine without a diaper when I was a baby.

I didn't need it at all.

FYI.

Human babies have no instinct at birth. They cry for food and when they crap for attention. There are other issues of course for illness.

You want an infant to go out in the yard. Oh my gosh, what is this thing?

Human mothers are bipedal ... they can carry a newborn ...

It's horses or deers or antilopes or elks that can run 20 mph fifteen minutes after birth ... that's because they taste good ... humans , well, not so much ... maybe human babies are protected by tasting bad ...

That's WHY we are smarter.

Does anyone not find my post intelligent enough to discuss?

Arnold Gehlen described human beings as "animals" who are nowhere at home and fit nowhere into the nature. Fortunatelly mankind is able to live in a second sphere, a second nature, which is our self-made culture. But how comes? Basic for this all is what we call "normalized premature birth". Animals are either "nidiculous animals" or "precocial animals" - but not so human beings. We are very helpless when we are born - like in a premature birth - and one year later we show characateristics of precocial animals. If we argue we are precocial animals then the normal length of a pregnancy would be 9+12=21 months. But pregnancy is biologically normalized to 9 month. So we can say our nature takes care for the first 9 months of our life - and our culture takes care for the next year. Human beings need education, enculturation and socialisation and we have to learn really everything - and are able to be educated to be "everything" - also for example monsters like child soldiers. Our basic national flag - the diaper - is also the begin of the tabula rasa where are written the first important "how to learn to make steps" of our individual lifes.

Smart? You are an aggressive idiot and weapon fetishist who uses a most stupid form of a brainless political propaganda on reason to make the life of others miserable and anything else than reasonable.

They have the same "instinct" other mamals do. None can survive without their mother
