I ask how there can be suffering on Earth if there is an all-powerful, all-knowing, and just God. I am told that there is free will and that people must choose to believe in Jesus. If that is the case, then what becomes of children who suffer and die without having been given information about Jesus? More importantly, why would such a God allow innocent children to suffer in agony and pain such as this kid did?
Such a child does not have free will in the practical sense. He probably did not even get a chance to learn about Jesus. Luckily he survived.
Very very sad, words do not express. There are many more who are dying, suffering even as we read and type.
Let me please ask you this? If Jesus Christ Himself suffered and died for the sins of the world (that means yours and mine and every soul's because He loves) then how much more Grace does God have for these children? Unimaginable Grace. I cannot imagine.
And one thing is for certain, eternity is far longer than our lives here on earth. I can barely fathom His Grace for a wretch like me, one who has sinned greatly against Him, let alone a young child or baby suffering. His Grace is just like the song - Amazing Grace. God has a purpose, though we don't understand all the time why He allows certain things, there is an overall purpose. Perhaps situations like these are to test us, we, who do have the resources and knowledge of His Word? I don't know.
We can all point a finger the other way, or try to directly point at God Himself, however that doesn't take away from the account of the Beginning to the End, or His Sovereignity, And the Grace given through our Lord Jesus Christ. From the fall of man in the garden, to the future of eternity with God, we can see the world, our flesh, sin. The very fact that there is sin in this world, which none of us can deny, should be proof enough of Gods written word and who we are and that we need help. Horrible things such as murder of children, rape, child trafficking, child pornography, etc, etc, because of sin show's the state of mankind.
I cannot make you or anyone else stop pointing your finger at God, but only encourage you to ask Him yourself to try to understand. His Word does show it started at the beginning.
Perhaps and hopefully this link may help:
Why does God allow innocent people to suffer?
Romans 1
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
