(1) No taxation without representation and lower taxes ==> You hear the left preach higher taxes all the time, they preach higher taxes onto others, meaning taking their representation away.

(2) Lower and localized governments ==> Not a left thing (they want large and central), the right likes small and localized

(3) Basing the economy on Adam Smith's free market capitalism ==> The left like Obama strive for European style socialism (some every the former USSR and Cuba style socialism) and over-burdensome regulation. The right is firmly against the Euro model which is failing and over burdensome regulation.

(4) Freedom of Religion ==> The left wants freedom FROM religion, the right VALUES freedom of religion. That was the intent.

The list goes on. If the left were in charge after the Revolutionary War, then we would be in the same boat as the socialist Utopias that Latin America is in!

Just consider this: deficit spending is a necessary evil if the private sector has shut credit down. That leaves the government the only player in the game to get the spending (and therefore the DEMAND the real job creator) moving again.

Deficit spending after tax cuts is irresponsible. Cutting taxes during a time of high federal expenditures for war is just baffling.

-Women do not have the right to vote.
-Only the white male "Landed Gentry" should have the right to vote.
-Senators should be appointed by governors.
