The Tea Party was sort of a congener of the Libertarian Party and the Republican Party imbued with a hefty dose of patriotism and a profound emphasis on individual rights, which is the backbone of the Libertarian movement. Now why would the Tea Party movement embrace a movement that includes the word 'Socialism' a cause that would be anathema to the Teaparty's original intent.

Bullshit, the tea party types are now so primed for fascism that they would lay down all objections to anything a legitimate (in their eyes) leader would do as long as it was the illegals, liberals, the worthless poor, gays or ghetto thugs who were the target. You simply cannot deny that they would worship a president that illegally sent the army after all the illegal immigrants and deported them without due process.
