A Florida judge has set a trial date in the racketeering case against the Clinton Foundation and Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Judge Donald Middlebrooks of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida ordered the racketeering, influenced and corrupt organizations, or RICO, case to head to trial January 20, 2016. Judge orders Clinton Foundation racketeering case to trial WashingtonExaminer.com

Nice fat monkey wrench in dem party plans.......

Klayman? LOL!!! Got to hand it to a guy who can get his ass kicked over and over again and still come back for more, though. :cuckoo:

It will be interesting to see if the Clintons make a call for assistance in answering these charges. We'll see just how transparent and ethical the Clintons can be. I would guess they will try payoffs to judges and others that count.

Not going to address the case then. Not really surprised.
First you need to show that there is a case. Given Klayman's track record in the 90s, that's highly unlikely. Why give standing to someone who hasn't earned it? You're not suggesting we adopt affirmative action for wingnuts, are you?

Considering that the judge ordered it to trial, there is a case there. That does not mean that it is strong or has even a remote chance of winning but it does mean there is a case.

It simply appears that you do not want to even discuss the case at all and prefer to simply dismiss them. Use that term wingnut lightly - a wingnut would simply dismiss the case out of hand.

Wouldnt think this would be too hard to prove where her support for things hinged on money coming in. Bonus points if they get them to cough up whats left of the server....again which will prove criminal intent

That's double talk. If there's no chance of winning, there's no case. Also, it's up to the accuser to present the case. One need not say a word, that's the Constitution. Read it some time. Also, Klayman is the political equivalent of an ambulance chaser. :laugh2:

So, again, you deflect from addressing anything of substance.

Continue to deflect and make disparaging statements about Klayman even when they lend zero credence to your position.

This appears to be a civil trial. Not a criminal one.

ORDERED AND ADJUDGED, pursuant to 28 U.S.C. j 636 (b)(1)(A) and the Magistrate Judge Rules of the Local Rules of the Southern District of Florida, the above-captioned cause is hereby referred to United States Magistrate Dave Lee Brannon to conduct a Scheduling Conference, pursuant to Local Rule 16.1.B, for the purpose of setting pre-trial deadline dates, discussion of the Cameras in the Courtroom Pilot Project, for determining possible consent to the jurisdiction of the Magistrate Judge for trial, and for the purpose of setting any settlement conferences in lieu of or in addition to mediation if the parties so request.

Settlement conferences and mediation doesn't sound like any criminal issue. But a civil lawsuit.

It's up to Klayman to provide the substance. He's been doing this sort of thing since the 90s with little in the way of results. I don't see why I should automatically give him any credit and don't understand why you are, except that he's echoing your prejudices.

I can see FA's point on this. Having an initial trial date set doesn't mean the case has substance. But it does mean that the case is backed with enough evidence to warrant consideration. Given Klayman's record of failure, passing this first of many hurdles is a rare thing for him.

To me it would mean that his case in this instance may be better than his previous failed attempts. Good enough to prevail? That's where your perspective makes plenty of sense. His record of bullshit accusations doesn't bode well for the long term chances of success.

That being said....I don't think Klayman really cares if he wins. Its a platform for accusation that he's looking for.
