You also fail to mention why all the other Americans were still in Benghazi. although, again, every other nation had pulled their people out because of the danger. I'm damn-well sure that the compound had not been vacated and EVERYONE who worked there decided to travel to Benghazi that day.

But you liberals can't think that deeply, go one step further and ask those yough questions. The FAC is Hillary F*ED UP and left / allowed Americans to be in harm's way despite the previous terrorist attacks, despite the warnings of the attacks on 9/11/12, and despite the call for Stevens' assassination.

Well, to you folks, the NYT will never be "valid"......But the point is this, many militant groups claim (except ISIS maybe) that they have an affiliation with Al-Qaeda.....All current intelligence point to the Libyan scum-bucket, Kathalla, who was and is a leader in the anti-Ghaddafi movement in that country.

Paraphrasing what Hillary stated in frustration,does it really make any fucking difference if the Libyan militants had the inspiration from Al-Qeda (remember what it means as far as "base") in Afghanistan/Pakistan......or if local Libyans wanted to commemorate 9-11 in timing their attacks?

It's hard to claim that Stevens would bear sole responsibility for his safety since he is DEAD.

Does he claim sole responsibility for his pleas for more security being denied more than 30 times?

Does he bear sole responsibility for 14 members of his security team being stripped after 2 terrorist attacks on his compound, while there is a massive threat of a terrorist attack on 9/11/12, and while there is a call for his assassination?

Does he bear sole responsibility for all the Americans in Benghazi who were also under attack on 9/11/12, who had been left there by Hillary?

Does he bear the responsibility of being the only head of Embassy personnel who left her people in Benghazi for the terrorist attack when everyone else had pulled their people out?

Does he bear the responsibility for a Secretary of State claiming she thought Stevens asking for more security over 30 times was a JOKE, part of his sense of humor?

Nat, you seem to think that being Secretary of State means you go to parties, shake hands, and attend meetings. You fail to understand that the ENTIRE State Department, running it, being IN CHARGE of the people who work for you (not letting them do whatever they want), being responsible for their safety, is also part of the job.

Think of the State Department as the entire United States - Hillary is the President.

She gets warnings there is a pending terrorist attack on the United States (as an Embassy is US territory) and a call to assassinate a US Ambassador.

Had Hillary and her State Department not denied the more than 30 (THIRTY) pleas for additional security - due to the multiple threats, massive gatherings of Al Qaeida in Benghazi, new terrorist training camps being opened in Benghazi, Al Qaeida flags being hung on Benghazi govt offices, and two terrorist attacks -4 Americans would not have died.

Had Hillary and her State Department not STRIPPED STEVENS OF 14 MEMBERS OF HIS SECURITY DETAIL after 2 terrorists attacks on his compound, multiple terrorist threats, and all of those mentioned above going on 4 Americans would not have died.

First, there is a whole department within State that is responsible for embassies' safety and their determination does NOT have to go through the Secretary...pretty much in the same way that a general in the field of battle does not have to check with the POTUS before taking action...

Second, check out WHO in congress denied additional funds for safety and security of embassies.
