by the grand tetons
jenny lake lays down below
lovely reflections​

breaks slumber with slow rise when
wild passions climax​

all the park waters
fall down to join with others
playful snake river​

pebbles bounce o'er lake
heaved by rock's passionate pair
slinging their stones off​

steam from the hot springs
rises from earth to the sky
returning as dew​

inside mother earth
father time patiently ticks
embracing moist warmth​

walking hand in hand
from field trip spent in springtime
heart bright with flowers​

in rearview mirror
thrusts monumental tall pine
from pleasures mountain​

take vacations oft
remember importance of
smelling the flowers​

september daybreak
gray clouds with silver linings
beckon sun to rise​
