I notice that Trump is on the "now is not the time to talk about it" line. Why? Because he knows as well as I do that unless the "heat" from the LV massacre is allowed to die down, gun control laws will get passed, and part of his campaign rhetoric was that Hillary wanted to take away people's guns. Given Trump's truthfulness issues, if gun control laws get passed on his watch, it'll look like one more thing he's lied about or misrepresented the truth of things. The simple thing with Trump is that "what is" doesn't matter; to him "what it looks like" is all that matters.

Happens all the time. In fact, there is an epidemic of deaths from illicit drugs being sold. The sale of powerful opiates by dealers to children and young adults is the same thing as killing them with a gun.
