GOP shut down government by changing the rules. Reid learned well.

How House Republicans guaranteed a shutdown: by changing the rules

Government Shutdown 2013: H.R. 368, The Little Rule Change By House Republicans That Guaranteed A Federal Shutdown

Watching Republicans whine about Reid? Doncha love it?

Question, how does the minority pass a bill when they don't have enough votes????

Huh???

Dumb-ass?:lame2:

Republicans have a majority in the House. Didn't you know that?

Dude, without the Senate nothing the House does matters.

This is pure fucken fantasy.

First the House votes on a bill, then it goes to the Senate and Dingy Harry strips everything out of it and sends it back to the house. The House ether votes on it or tables it. There isn't much they can do.

Point of all of this is Obama refused to negotiate one inch on Obamacare.

The shutdown was the result of Obama and Harry Reid refusing to push back individual mandates on the ACA for a year, so all of this negative press they're getting could have been avoided if they had just agreed to it.

They can only blame themselves for it, and now they and their little dumb-assed sheeple like you think they have a beef with the GOP.

What's great is listening to an old obama speech against what the democrats just did.

You wouldn't know it from all the whining but Barry Hussein is still president and he could have kept the government open. It would have been cheaper to keep some tourist attractions open but Hussein chose to use the gestapo to chase WW2 Vets. off the memorial they created.

He kept 83% of it open.

He just closed it for people he wanted to fuck with. Vets and such.

And you were whining about not getting paid although you supported the shut down by the TeaPs.

Even the Republicans admit they caused the shut down.

:cuckoo:

The Senate doesn't vote on a procedural change in the House, which is what the OP is referring to.

None of the Republicans want to explain why they recently cheered what they now condemn the Democrats for. Typical. After all, they've never ever seen any need to rationalize their constant flagrant hypocrisy, and they're not going to start now. If something brings them power, they auto-justify it, and that settles it.

Hey, here's a thought. If denying the minority party the veto is evil, the Republicans can prove they believe it by ... creating the option of a filibuster in the House. If they won't, it's clear that they're just blowing smoke up everyone's asses, and that they don't actually give a shit about some supposed minority rights.

The majority in the House passed the bill Dean is referring to, with several Democrats voting in favor of it.
