GOP Hopeful, Rand Paul, compares the right to health care to slavery...

Rand Paul was born about 200 years too late to be the pro-slavery states rightser he surely would have been back then.

I know you graduated from a government school controlled by the education wing of the democrat party....so you don't understand history, the truth or reality......but how is Rand Paul being against the government setting doctors wages being pro fucking slavery.....do you even think before you post....

Oh...I get it....you think you just have to say Ramd Paul is pro slavery....then your lefty nitwit fellow travelers will take up that point up and repeat it like trained seals and then the democrats in the main stream press will push the idea and wherever he goes they will ask him..." Senator Paul...why do you support slavery" and then your smear job will be complete....

You leftists, are vile and disgusting human beings....

It is logical to speculate that Rand Paul would have been a states right champion from Kentucky in the 1800's,

which makes it therefore logical to speculate that he would have supported his state's right to keep slavery legal.

No, Rand Paul is a libertarian.....he believes in freedom of the individual....unlike you lefties, so he would have been against slavery...and against slavery in the United States.......do some thinking.....

He supports business discrimination by race. He wants states to have the right to take away abortion rights. He wants states to have the right to ban same sex marriage.

He is far from believing in freedom for the individual.
True.

As is the case with most – if not all – of the GOP candidates.

Otherwise, that Paul is a libertarian loon should come as no surprise, his positions on the issues are as bizarre as they are wrong.

In the meantime, Rand Paul, his dad, and all the teabag and republican politicians accept government paychecks and benefits, including taxpayer funded health insurance. (and I'm sure many of the kool aid drinking republicans on this board also).

"GET GOVERNMENT OUT OF MY LIFE!:"....until my check comes or I need it's help....

"GET GOVERNMENT OUT OF MY LIFE!"

Yet most conservatives want to get government into the life of others, by denying women their right to privacy, gay Americans their right to equal protection of the law, immigrants their right to due process, and minorities their right to vote.

Rand Paul has assured his status as "also ran" in the GOP race for nomination. There is nothing the Democrats would like more than if the GOP nominated Rand Paul or, as someone preferred earlier on this board, Teddy Cruz. They are the "certified" loons of the Republican Party. I hope the GOP has better sense than to make one of these crazies its 2016 nominee, but if they do, then they will get what they asked for. They will be smashed by ANYONE the Dems put up....

You people are truly pathetic to even think otherwise....

Jeb Bush isn't getting the nomination.

Deal with it.

Glad you feel that way, since he is the only one in the GOP field with a chance to win in the General. Keep that opinion....please.

If he wins the nomination, we may as well vote for HIllary. However, no one is buying your theory that a conservative can't win the election except brainwashed drones like yourself.

What does enforcing the immigration laws of this country have to do with getting government out of the lives of Americans? Illegal aliens aren't Americans, numskull. Gays already have equal protection and no one has take the right to vote from any minorities.

Your complaints are all entirely groundless and idiotic. But then, isn't every liberal complaint groundless and idiotic?

The Dems would love to see Paulor Cruz as the GOP. Nominee. It would be wonderful.

Look how well putting a crazy person on the ticket worked for the GOP in 2008.

Making a crazy person the GOP 2016 candidate for POTUS is bound to be a "winner" amongst the losers who believe that a crazy person should be given the keys to the nuke arsenal.

How is he wrong? A "right" is something you have that cannot be abridged. It is not something you can force others to provide for you. You have the right, for example, to free political speech. That means you can say whatever you want to about a politician. You don't, though, have the right to force your neighbor to pay for commercial time so you can say those things on TV. You can have the "right" to healthcare to the extent that no one can legally prevent you from accessing it, but forcing your neighbor to pay for your health insurance is not a right. Forcing one person to work for another person is.....

If a person doesn't have access to health care they can die. A person has the right to live.

If you disagree then all yours and conservatives screaming about abortion and right to life is just the lie I've believed it is for many decades.
On the contrary, you have the right to access healthcare. No one will stop you. What you DON'T have the right to do is force other people to pay for it. That would be no different from going into your neighbor's house and taking his money at gunpoint to pay for your Viagra. And, your last sentence is beyond stupid, thus ignored.

Taxes are the price we pay to live in a civilized society!

Your puerile argument is like claiming that everyone who works for the government is "enslaved" because they are being "forced to work for others" using "other people to pay for" their salaries.
No. They are also being forced to part with the fruits of their labor.

Food, clothing and shelter are rights! Dems have the right to live where they please regardless of ability to pay

We give children an education regardless of their parents' ability to pay.

I guess that should go too.
It falls under the same umbrella as healthcare. Something that is nice if people gave it to us, but not something we are justified in taking from our neighbor at gunpoint.

Right, we prefer having a failed liar to vote for.

I'm not forcing anyone to pay for my health care. I get my insurance through my husband's work. We pay monthly premiums, deductibles and co-pays.

If you feel that the government shouldn't subsidize insurance for those who can't afford it then you don't believe that everyone has a right to life.

Maybe you should start whining about all the subsidies to so many corporations and people in our nation. You may not like subsidies but anyone who buys a house is being subsidized by the government by the deduction they get off their taxes for the interest. Just about all deductions off taxes are a subsidy.

But you show that the garbage you and others spew about right to life and abortion is nothing but all lies. If you don't believe that Americans have the right to health care and help to pay for if they can't afford it, then you don't believe that Americans have a right to life.

If you want people to be able to afford their own health care then you better stop fighting and making excuses to not raise the minimum wage. You selfishly advocate that the minimum wage not be raised. How do you expect people to afford health care if they aren't making much money? And how about advocating for those minimum wage employers to offer low cost insurance? If you don't want to pay for it then advocate for those minimum wage employers do what most other employers do and offer low cost insurance to their employees.

What you don't realize is that you're paying for it already and have been for decades. Only you're paying at the highest rate because those without insurance go to the ER where the rates are many times higher than a regular doctor's office. So you will always be paying for someone else's health care. I'm just advocating that we pay as little as possible. You want to pay as much as possible.

It's funny, you have no problem with rich corporations and rich people getting all those subsidies they don't need but a person who isn't rich who needs heath care, you want them to die because you don't want to pay for their health care even though you've been doing that for decades.
Really? Have you bothered to ask me what I think about corporate welfare? Apparently not. IOW, you're spouting stupidity.

We give children an education regardless of their parents' ability to pay.

I guess that should go too.

Look at the results, 2/3 of US graduates can't read or write and our kids all further behind the rest of the world every year. Take the money we're wasting on Democrat controlled schools and hand parents a voucher. Parents who want their kids to do better will send their kids to private schools, like the Obama's and most Democrat parents will spend the money on crystal meth or stero

Good grief! Is this guy the best the GOP can find?
Forcing people to provide goods and services without compensation is, at best, involuntary servitude.
I fail to understand why liberals choose to not understand this.

Good grief! Are you people likening paying your taxes to slavery now. Let me guess....Tea Baggers?

It more closely resembles theft. Actually, it doesn't resemble theft. It is theft.

I guess the tax exempt Media Matters is hiring until the 2016 election. Be prepared for at least a post a day of junk spun by prog blog sites from out of context statements by (only) republicans.
