GOP Gets Their Wish - Unemployment is Up

Are you for setting government limits on executive pay???

Yes I am. ...
Socialist!

Government employees are socialist, so they need to have wages & benefits that equal everyone else.

I hope they don't raise the debt limit.

Every time I see a lazy blood-sucking government employee lose their job it bring a little smile to my face.

Every time I see a lazy blood-sucking government employee lose their "Taxpayer Funded Defined Benefit Pension" I JUMP FOR JOY!!!!!!

:thewave::mm::dance::thewave: :eusa_dance::banana::beer: :thewave:

It is about time these assholes get a taste of the unemployment & misery they have caused the private sector.

Congratulations to all of you who want smaller government! 39,000 jobs were shed in June. Of course, private businesses only added 57,000 jobs, so the unemployment rate went up, but that's what smaller government looks like!

So again, Congratulations!

I don't give a hoot about government beaurocrats losing their jobs. After all we just spent 878 BILLION dollars to save their jobs over the last 2 years--and unemployment still rose.

When the government is expanding faster than the private sector we have serious problems--and this is Barack Obama's flood the basement economic policy. The only thing it has accomplished is too drive us further into debt. There is NO MORE MONEY--to make certain that unnecessary government workers keep their jobs. So YES--it's time to trim down.

Why is it that no one ever seems to point out that unemployment is a lagging indicator, and thus only tells you where the economy was 6-12 months ago, not where it is now?

Oh, and I forgot to mention, wages went down. So you all are happy about that too, right? That means it's less expensive to run a business. That's what you all want, right?

I have two very simple statements regarding your entire thread and posts:

1- All of this is HAPPENING UNDER OBAMA'S WATCH AND WITH A DEMOCRAT SENATE. Read it one more time, I even did the lame ass "all caps" thing since liberals seem to only be able to communicate that way sometimes. This is all happening, right now, with Democrats controlling the White House and Senate. GOP is the minority party right now. Remember that.

2- This one is much shorter: It's not the fucking government's job to hire and pay me. Period.

AGREE!!!!!

I do hate to see cops and firemen lose their jobs. Those guys are two of the few truly necessary government functions. But other than cops, firemen and the military, I really can't think of one thing the gov't does well, or does at all, that the private sector can't do.

How many bloated "parks and recreation" or "arts" departments does a city, state or fed need to have? Always staffed with fat, lazy, entitled employees.

Sorry, but I had nothing to do with the unemployment & misery the Obama Administration has caused. Don't blame me just because I work for the Department of Defense which falls under that asshole.

How can anyone argue with the CON$ who write the dictionary! :cuckoo:

So the R&D for space exploration "by definition" was a bad investment.
BRILLIANT

Wow, you are cynical of not trusting the government, aren't you? Actually most space money is spent for military. Also, there is a lot of private space money spent, good investment. As for non-military government money, you got it, bad investment. I realize it hurts you when people question government, but as cynical as you are of us who don't trust government, unfortunately for you all the facts are on our side...
So government military R&D is by definition a bad investment.

Hmm....

R&D spent for defense is not a "good investment" in terms of that it grows our economy, no. It is good in that it protects us from terrorists and despots, yes. You seriously thought your snotty comment added value to the discussion in any way?

As I have shown so many times, CON$ are always on both sides of every issue depending on what they want to attack Libs for at the moment.

You put no qualifiers on your DEFINITION of R&D done by the government.
