Glory glory halleyuyah....

Is this all you got? Ya OK keep hanging on to these last hopes. Nobody said the embassy is going to be moved on his second day in office, you goofball.

Order your suicide vest early.

Hey dimwit.

"President Trump is having second thoughts about his campaign promise to move the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem......White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said: “There’s no decisions. We're at the very early stages of that decision-making process.” When a reporter pressed him about whether the embassy will have been moved to Jerusalem by the end of Trump’s four-year term, Spicer replied: “If it was already a decision, then we wouldn’t be going through a process.”

Has Trump come to his senses on moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem?

toomuchtime, et al,

I bet that it will take three to four years to survey, purchase and construct a new embassy.

And yet the Trump administration is in talks with the mayor of Jerusalem about where to move the embassy.

This is not something that can happen overnight. And the guidelines set by the OSPB (Overseas Policy Board) with be something of an obstacle. As well as who gets a Co-location Waiver and who does not.

The Embassy itself will be a miniature fortress, with some serious security requirements. The rating on the SETL ( Security Environmental Thread List ) will undoubtedly change. And given that it is moving into everything in Jerusalem is within targeting range and in close proximity, Embassy Staff and VIP Guest Housing will have to be addressed. They will probably be a whole team of Residential Security Coordinator (RSC) who will become the Regional Security Office's subject matter expert on the Department of State's physical security standards for United States Government (USG) residential properties.

It may not happen until the next Presidential Election when some other Chief Executive will change their mind.

Most Respectfully,

The important issue, imo, is when the official announcement of the move is made, not when the entire project is completed. I'm guessing the move will become official in May because under the Jerusalem Embassy Act, if President Trump does not declare he is delaying the move by six months by May 17, the embassy must be moved or the State Department loses half of its funding.

As for your other concerns, the Israeli government will of course do everything in its power to expedite the move so none of the normal procedural delays will hold it up and the mayor of Jerusalem has said the US already owns a few parcels of land in Jerusalem that would be suitable for the embassy. I don't think security will be as great an issue as you suggest. The Israeli government is located in Jerusalem and security there makes it one of the safest places in the world for the US embassy.

Hey dipshit, they're in talks, you know that that means? It isn't a question of if but when. I understand this issue gets under your skin, but Jerusalem is the eternal Jewish capital, and will never ever ever ever be the capital of the Islamic Caliphate of Palestine. Notice how many times I said ever. LOL

There are other factors also, Trump's sec. of state and UN ambassador have not been approved yet. Once those get approved and he reviews the strategy with Netanyahu, they will implement the move and under what time-table it will be.

"the Islamic Caliphate of Palestine.."

...they should ditch that hamass name - yawz is betta....

A Palestinian man said (he was dressed in a 3-pc suit and didn't have his head
or face covered ) ...but he said.."Move that embassy, and....we're gonna get mad..."

What is gonna happen to all the other embassies? All the other countries will follow American steps or not? I've heard tehy will leave their embassies in Tel Aviv. So the only embassy in Jerusalem will be the American embassy. :eusa_think:

Moure countries will follow once that happens. Someone just needs to break the PC stupid step, before others do, too.
It's possible. But what if the only country doing this are the USA? Maybe this could produce some diplomatic problems between the USA goverment and the other countries. :eusa_think:
Of course I personally hope nothing bad is gonna happen if Mr. Trump makes this decision :)

The decision has been made. The question is under what timetable so the least amount of Arabs and Muslims start stampeding like wild jackasses.

Lawmakers in Spain endorse right to boycott Israel
Activists are welcoming a decision by lawmakers in Spain to recognize that the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement for Palestinian rights is protected by laws guaranteeing free speech.

On 27 June, the International Cooperation Committee of the Congress of Deputies, Spain’s lower house, unanimously adopted a resolution calling on the government to “recognize and defend the right of human rights activists from Palestine, Israel and other countries, to engage in legal and peaceful activities, protected by the right to freedom of speech and assembly, such as the right to promote boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) campaigns.”
