Foreigners unsure why anyone would WANT to travel to US at this point

Neither the 'norweigians or the third worlders' will ever think like or be an American or Westerner CNM .
We take a lot of immigrants. We won't have them thinking like us, but we will have their children and there's not a thing they can do about that.

i'd rather have American children , they are much better than widdle 'esl' learning third worlder children CNM .

The rest of the world views the US with Trump as a shithole to be avoided. Very telling though that they assumed the travel ban was to keep people FROM LEAVING. Echoes of the Soviet Union.

My neighbors just got back from a 2 month vacation in Europe. They learned VERY quickly not to tell people they were from the US - Response the first 3 or 4 times (in France) resulted in comments like "oh - I'm sorry about Trump" or the total cold shoulder. :(

I told them by text message to start telling people they were from British Columbia. I said just add an occasional "eh" at the end of sentences. Since they know Vancouver well enough to answer questions - it worked. After that, many new friends were made! :)
Ignorant friends are better than none, I suppose? Your run-of-the-mill European knows about as much about the US as the standard American knows about Europe...Bupkiss!

--------------------------------------------- big deal , until then we have to put up with 'isis' types and his 'muslim' crew voting and advocating against the ' Second Amendment' . And YOU , aren't you some sort of 'new zealand' sheep herder type CNM ??

Looks about right

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—Shortly after the United States Supreme Court upheld Donald J. Trump’s controversial travel ban, millions of people from other countries expressed puzzlement that anyone would want to travel to the United States at this juncture.

In interviews with people from around the world, respondents said that the travel ban struck them as unnecessary, because the United States was not currently on the list of the top hundred countries to which they would consider travelling.

When asked to name the reasons they felt that a travel ban was superfluous, many of those interviewed cited the United States’s gun violence and crumbling infrastructure, as well as its broken educational and health-care systems, while others singled out its President’s startling disrespect for democratic norms and human rights.

Given those views, most of the foreigners interviewed said they found the news of the Supreme Court’s decision baffling. “When I heard that the United States was having a travel ban, I assumed that was to keep people from leaving,” one respondent said, echoing the sentiments of many.

I agree. ALL foreigners should leave, and like minded native borns should all join them in their country's. Sounds like a GREAT idea.

Yes, but I don't blame you.
I bet you blame the Norwegians burning the flag and queueing up outside US embassies, eh?

Yeah, why can't we import more Norwegians anyway? :cool-45:

so why are illegals flocking here???

There is an uptick from Central America due to chaos and violence.
Illegal crossings by Mexicans are at a 46 year low. Don't believe Trump - He's spouting his usual nationalistic fear to keep you under control.
And uhhhhm - the OP is satire ;-)

Socialism causes chaos and violence, good to know

No - slipping into autocracy (aka Trumpism) all .. Learn something

Over the long term, Nicaragua will not be able to maintain robust growth without real economic reforms, better public institutions, and a strongerwritten: “Sooner or later, Nicaragua will have to make a national agreement to respect the rule of law or it will never emerge from poverty and despair.” Right now, the country is sliding back toward lawless autocracy.

The New Sandinista Autocracy

"Not on the list of the top 100 countries"...my Bullshit meter is in flames.

The U.S. is entirely safe, relatively inexpensive, has more natural wonders, more popular culture, and more cultural diversity than anyplace else on the planet. Any person who actually IS A TRAVELER, has either been here already, or has a lengthy visit to the U.S. on their figurative bucket list.

To say otherwise is either idiocy or blatant propaganda.

And full of uneducated white rubes
