They would much rather have Trump over DeSantis.

The reasons are obvious, they have spent the last 10 years demonizing Trump into a cult, and DeSantis has gone after the woke crowd more than Trump even has. Trump just promises to do things like lock up Hillary and build the wall as the rubes fall all over themselves about his promises.
