“There is a line drawn in the sand by Jesus that we ought not cross,” Al Carlisle, pastor of Grace of God Church, said about the message behind his Election Day sign.

A Florida church will no longer serve as a polling location after its pastor put up a sign on Election Day that suggested Christians shouldn’t vote for Democrats.

Pasco County Supervisor of Elections Brian Corley told HuffPost that he received hundreds of complaints on Nov. 6 about the controversial sign at New Port Richey’s Grace of God Church.

The sign, handwritten in marker on white paper, read, “Don’t vote for Democrats on Tuesday and sing, ‘Oh how I love Jesus’ on Sunday.”

Corley said the church’s senior pastor, Al Carlisle, put up the sign and refused the supervisor’s requests to take it down.

Wow, this pastor really crossed the line on Election Day. What do you think?

Well, considering that there is no electioneering within a certain distance of the polling place entrance, this sign is clearly electioneering for the Republicans AT the entrance to the polling place.

Clearly in violation of election laws.

Wrong....

According to the Pasco County supervisor of elections, the sign meets the requirements of being further than 100 feet from the entrance of the polling place or the "no solicitation zone." Beyond that 100 feet, the supervisor of elections office says it's private property.

Sadly, many voters had no choice where to vote since this was the designated voting site for their area. Voters should not have to tolerate such religious nonsense on Election Day.

It wasn't illegal, stop bumping your stupid shit with more stupid shit

Well at least they weren’t tampering with the ballots!

You must go :lalala: at all the posts that prove you wrong.

Like 3. And 5. Both of which state no-brainers that anyone who's actually voted already knows.
I wouldn't know how it is in Russia but here you absolutely cannot do that.

You know, it really floors me when preachers and the like tell their people what Jesus would and wouldn't approve of when it comes to politics.

Hate to tell you guys, but I don't really think that God or Jesus spends very much of their time thinking about who we elect. I think they would be more concerned about how we treat each other than how we vote.

Besides........................how many times have Christians repeatedly told others that nobody can truly know the mind of God. If that is true, they why are they telling other people how God would vote? They wouldn't know, because they say that no man can know the mind of God.

Hypocrites is all they are.

Ewe evah listened to obamaturd’s preacher?

All of these hocus pocus bullshit organizations should lose their tax exempt status.

He totally violated the rules.

You are not supposed to "electioneere" within a certain distance.

Besides, this is a violation of trust.

I may agree with the guy....but you can't do this.

Well the Pope compared abortion to the Nazi Holocaust as the official position of the church is that it is genocide.

Then again, those Nazi socialists sure did have swell social programs to vote for, don't they?

I reckon that is the bait and hook.

I wonder how many Christians voted for the Nazi socialists.
