What this whole thing boils down to is that there are MANY the left and even notably the Elitist Blue-Bloods in the Republican Leadership [David Frum among others], that cannot stand a woman, and a strong one whom is an independent thinker, and one who bucks the leadership of her own party. However, my feelings on Sarah Palin are that she is an compelling political figure, with little experience on the national or domestic scene in matters of policy. That is not saying that she cannot gain that experience, but as for me, I would prefer that she spend some time at least in a position such as the House or Senate prior to running for the high office. It will give her the needed knowledge in matters of defense and domestic budgets and really if she chooses to run can bring some of that home spun wisdom with that knowledge to make the changes needed in Washington. I do think that the coverage of Sarah Palin is somewhat over the top and tends to show more what has become of American journalism in general, as it seems to have morphed from covering the news to tabloid sensationalism in order to get ratings and this is true for media in general. No one can deny that Sarah Palin can draw large segments of conservative Americans to her and many identify with her as a mother, and "one of them". To be blunt though T in order for her to take that top job she will need that seasoning I spoke of not only to do the best job possible but to also draw the moderate voters needed to actually take the top job. At this point in time, I don't believe anyone can predict who the Republican nominee will be in 2012 and as I have pointed out in a few other posts. In 2006 there was much talk about John Edwards on the Democrats side of the street and no one knew outside of Il. and few members of the DNC who Barack Obama was, so to make predictions on Sarah Palin are pre-mature at best.

Monday, the Wasilla Chihuahua is going to be at an Army base. Apparently, the base commander has closed the event off from the media, because they don't want her and her supporters using that pulpit as a way to tear down the policies of the current CIC.

Personally? I'm wondering what the fuck she's doing on a base. She's a civilian, and now is no longer a public official, so why the fuck are they allowing her to hold a rally/book signing on base?

And Oscar, sorry about the confusion concerning the bitch's college degree. But, you can understand my confusion, as it's exceedingly rare that you go to over 5 schools for a 4 year degree, in JOURNALISM of all things!

And its his job not to speak out against the CiC. But where in any military manual does it state that political figures, and you admit she holds no office, that civilians cannot speak out. This isn't Nazi Germany where if you speak out against the Fuhrer you wuill be shot on site.
