End Public Sector Unions Period.

Anyone still want to argue against my point that conservatism is all about increasing the gap between rich and poor?

Less power for workers means poorer workers. Period. That is irrefutable.

No thats Bullshit!!! So your telling me some guy on an assembly line at the ford plant should make a hundred and fifty k a year? The skills involved dont warrant that kind of pay. It's an artificial number! Pay should be based on the typ of work being done and what the market will bear, not some number picked by some union thug.
Texas is a right to work state and our economy is always better then the rest of the nation.
And housing costs and living cost are very reasonable......because we dont have a lot of unions. The only reason you need union pay scales is to pay for union products.

If a car didnt have three grand worth of union bs built in,it would cost less.
And what about non union workers? Why should we have to pay extra for a product so a union worker can make more money?
Union workers are a bunch of greedy lazy fucks!!!

Let us not BLUR the line between Private and Public sector unions...

I realize there is a differance, but the fact remains they both drive up costs.

Show us where government makes its profits then negotiate from there.

Government is not intended to make a profit. HOWEVER, it still must pay its workers a wage sufficient to make people want to do the work, and to allow them to support themselves and their family.

Personally, I think that the biggest issue is in terms of the benefits that a lot of these people receive. They are in many cases well beyond even what a private sector Union member could ever hope to negotiate.

The problem is that there has become an "entitlement" mentality to those in the Government workforce, whether they're Union employees or not. THAT is what really needs to be done away with.

I agree.

So negotiation based on "profit" simply isn't possible and there should be no equivocation between private sector unions and government employee unions in my opinion.

California voters elected Arnold in a wave of emotion, Arnold attempted to rule as an autocrat too; the voters slapped him silly and will do the same to Walker.
As for your ignorant brothers and sisters who call for wholesale firings, this is one more example of emotion overruling reason. Don't you guys on the right ever think about the consequences - intended and otherwise - of the things you wish to see happen?

The Jerkinator was/is a Repubican/RINO.

LOL. When elected the conservatives went GaGa over Arnold, even discussed a contitutional amendment which would allow him to run for POTUS. Arnold soon learned governing was different than running for governor and ponitification and brinkmanship didn't work. It took years but he finally learned to compromise, learned to study issues and seek win-win compromise and reject zero sum games; and, most of all he learned to listen to his wife. A good idea for anyone running for officer, or not running for office, IMO.

If only our current President would do the same.

You may not 'need' unions, but we who work on the factory floor know damned well that without the unions, we would be working for next to nothing. And in conditions that are unsafe. It took unions to create decent wages and working conditions. It takes unions to maintain them.

:clap2:

California Girl didn't pay attention that day in history class when the Industrial Revolution took place. Doesn't believe they exploited child labor and general labor by paying them pennies.

Without Unions, no one is able to put together enough to fight deregulation of labor which brings sweat shops to America. Pay them nothing, unsafe working conditions, and no way to get any fair compensation ever.

Except for that whole Federal Law.

Present day unions have become rackets generally. Time for a new schtick than purporting to advocate against sweatshops that are already illegal while really just looking out for the best interests of those at the top of the heap.

Or the thugs can prove that they are indeed thugs.

Yeah. And the hypocrisy regarding CEO's and workers is replicated with the unions too:

Labor bosses don't share workers' pain | detnews.com | The Detroit News

...Pay gap grows within unions

Union leaders and members have long complained about the millions paid to CEOs in salaries and perks. For instance, Alan Mulally, president and CEO of Ford Motor Co., was paid more than $28 million last year -- that's over 450 times more than the average line worker at the company. And Michigan's top corporate titans had their average pay more than double since 2001, The News reported in May.

Less known to the public -- and to many union members -- is the growing pay gap within many unions.

In 2006, the highest-paid union official in Michigan was Grosse Pointe Park's Walter "Ralph" Mabry, the former executive secretary-treasurer of the Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters. He was paid more than $410,000 last year -- up $26,000 from the year before. That's a 6.7 percent pay hike at a time when his union lost 5 percent of its members, records show...

Corporate Heads Make Too Much? What About Union Leaders? | THE UNION LABEL

Corporate Heads Make Too Much? What About Union Leaders?

The Center For Union Facts, put out a press release jabbing unions in the ribs for their unprincipled finger pointing at the high salaries of corporate heads like CEO’s, CFO’s, etc. But, as the CUF points out, union chiefs make the same sort of money and no one is pointing fingers at THEM saying that the bloated salaries of union scammers are too high. Where are the calls for union heads to give back their exorbitant salaries?

Here is a list of some union thieves’ grossly bloated salaries.

* The Plumbers paid former General President Martin Maddaloni $1.3 million in total compensation, and Secretary-Treasurer Thomas Patchell almost $900,000 – after they were ousted for disastrous pension investments in a Florida hotel. According to the Association for Union Democracy, the buyout agreement included “salaries and benefits plus free use of cars and other perks through the end of 2006.”
* AFSCME President Gerald McEntee recorded total compensation just shy of $585,000.
* General President of the Laborers Terence O’Sullivan made more than $528,000.
* National Education Association President Reg Weaver made almost $439,000.
* The presidents of unions for players in the National Football League and the National Basketball Association made more than $1 million each. The NFL union head, Eugene Upshaw, made $2.4 million. Moreover, Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb received $900,000 from his AFL-CIO affiliated union as a player representative.

Wow. Seems rather hypocritical of these union folks who point fingers at corporate heads, doesn’t it?

And, as CUF Executive Director Richard Berman points out, the money that union chiefs get paid are from the dues of union members and NOT the profits from a company.

“While stockholders always have the option of showing their dissatisfaction with salary issues by dumping their stock, union executives have made it virtually impossible for a union member to escape paying for high salaries and perks through mandatory dues.”

Just so!

So, let me be one of the few that will call for these union thugs to pay back their undeserved salaries!
