Ron Paul believes in "magical creation". I could never vote for anyone who believes magic is real.
So you say, Obama is a Christian. Well, if he wants to sit in a church and "pray" to nothing, fine. But he also believes in science. He doesn't believe we were "magically shimmered" into being and the world is only a few thousand years old the way Ron Paul does.

Your first description is how I view the Republican Party. Yes, they are united against Obama now (probably because they're angry they lost power), but there is plenty of variation in the Republican party. You would expect the GOP to be small government and conservative, but there are only a handful of those people left. Most are big-government, pro-war politicians.
And when push came to shove on the healthcare initiative, all the Democrats marched in lock-step with Obama. Sure, there were a lot of backroom deals and arguing, but they all came together at the end which is going to cost them dearly in November since most ignored their constituents and voted with Obama. Frankly, I'm amazed at how many Kool-aid drinkers there are in the Democrat Party right now. They seem to follow Obama without question. From my vantage point, they are actually more brainwashed than the Bush supporters. Scary.
no one is brainwashed, hon. we just know that what the repubs did for eight years was stomach-turning and, frankly, obama ran on this agenda. i think you are overstating the carnage to the dems in november. i don't think it will be much more than normal loss of seats which happens at some point every time one party has all three branches of government.

Oh please, the republicans picked McCain because they didn't want him to win. There were more Ron Paul supporters at local meetings but they weren't allowed to speak. Face it, the reps and the dems are the two most corrupt parties in the history of this country. Everyone who voted for either party is part of the problem, not part of the solution.
