So you send the arms to blow up more middle aged men and lay waste to some more cities, in an unwinnable war, so you can "replenish".Something to note: Speaker Johnson noted that a great deal of the money in the bill is going to back-fill stockpiles of ammunition that we've already sent to Ukraine and Israel.
If that is true, I'm okay with it. Let me tell you, ammunition, explosives and the like have a "Use-By" date.
You start relying on ammo that's been sitting in a bunker for the last 30 years, sweating away, and when it's time to defend yourself, you might get let down.
So it either has to get used or -- Thrown away. Or better yet, given to somebody that can use it.
I remember when I was doing my best to send communists to meet their maker back in the day, they used to send old, nasty Korean War-Era ammo to us. Just to get rid of it. No shit. They told us to use it but we wouldn't. It was downright dangerous. More dangerous to us than to the enmy.
So guess who got stuck with the job of blowing it up? Me, of course.
Grenades, 3.5 rocket launcher ammo, old dynamite, tons, literally tons, of ammo that was useless. No fun, kids. I learned how to run. Fast. Even some of the fuse they sent us sucked. That was fun when the fuse stopped burning and you had to crawl up to 500lbs of nasty old ammo to pull the fuse and the cap out of the C4.
So if the ammo has a 20 year shelf-life and we sent the Ukes 15 year-old ammo and we're just replenishing it -- I'm okay with that. Also, anybody that's killing Russians deserves help. They are not nice people.
