Both parties need to appeal to the middle, yet their most ardent and trusted supporters insist on policies that the establishment simply won't do . . but it needs to project an air of concern, or the illusion it will act upon the concern of the most politically active among its constituents.

The GOP is no more going to outlaw all abortion, anymore than the DNC is really going to get involved in Israeli internal politics, no matter how much the social-democrats whine about the situation. Trump will put forth a sane stance on the abortion timeline and has already stated that he strongly supports IVF. Furthermore Democrat attempts to smear together the IVF decision with a woman's right to terminate her fetus will also fail. And BTW as I already posted, abortions hit a decade high the year after Roe v Wade was overturned by the SCOTUS. Kinda undermines the whole Roe v Wade hysteria, does it not?
