Economy stalls

Do you actually believe America can survive and thrive when our investment community views Obama as an anti-business Marxist waiting to punish their every success?

It's the un-American wingnuts who would rather see Obama fail than put America first.

When do democrats put America first instead of their party?

OH SNAP!

This pathetic recovery is the worst in modern history.

Trillions in investment money waits on the sidelines waiting for this anti-business POTUS to be a thing of the past.

Growing and on sound footing.

Yeah, the investment community really hates this guy!

Imagine the economic EXPLOSION we can look forward to the very moment our wealth and job creators know he is gone for good!

Jan. 22 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. investors overwhelmingly see President Barack Obama as anti-business and question his ability to manage a financial crisis, according to a Bloomberg survey.

The global quarterly poll of investors and analysts who are Bloomberg subscribers finds that 77 percent of U.S. respondents believe Obama is too anti-business and four-out-of-five are only somewhat confident or not confident of his ability to handle a financial emergency.

The poll also finds a decline in Obama’s overall favorability rating one year after taking office. He is viewed favorably by 27 percent of U.S. investors. In an October poll, 32 percent in the U.S. held a positive impression.

“Investors no longer feel they can trust their instincts to take risks,” said poll respondent David Young, a managing director for a broker dealer in New York.'

And that was soundly debunked over two years ago.

This government has failed. It has failed to the point where it basically doesn't exist and we're on autopilot.

Home prices have fallen so far that buyers last year don't have homes worth what they paid for them. US companies are adding workers but only overseas.

The alarm bells have been ringing and the presidebt does what? He passes laws mandating wheel chair lifts in all public pools or they must be shut down. He tries to prohibit farm chores for children on family farms. In this time of economic crisis he shutters power plants and closes coal mines. He ignores serious problems for grand gestures like an unpopular and unworkable health care bill. He interferes in state's rights. His goal is not improvement but social engineering. He runs not on innovation but the coolness factor.

Meanwhile the nation continues to disintegrate, limping along in spite of obama not because of him.

Lets see. No the governement has not failed. Home values are deflating because they were overvalued. Why do you hate the disabled? Family farms are not effected by the recent rules on child labor. Healthcare reform was very popular. The Republican plan that the ridculously endorsed is not.

Dream on, wingnuts...

Do you actually believe America can survive and thrive when our investment community views Obama as an anti-business Marxist waiting to punish their every success?

Please get a clue. Businesses expand when they believe they can make more money by doing so. In order to do so, they need more demand for their products or services. Obama is not stopping demand. The reason there is a lack of demand is simple; people do not have the money. Wages have stagnated so long that nobody can afford to spend a little extra.

Here is a hint for you; if companies began hiring again, they would become the driving force to a much stronger recovery. By hiring and expanding, they would put more money into the pockets of the very ones who purchase their products and services, which would lead to increased sales, more tax revenue, and on and on. They are sitting on the sidelines because they can, and because it is easy. While those on the right complain about corporate tax rates and regulations, those holding all the cards just keep collecting and getting richer and richer. Why do you think the stock market is doing so well? It's not because our economy is in the shitter? If that was the reason, then the stock market would be crashing also.

Come on Auditor...I thought you were more economically savvy than this...

Companies haven't been hiring because there has been so much uncertainty about everything from ObamaCare to EPA regulations on greenhouse gas.

As for why the market has been doing well? It isn't because of the average investor...that's for sure. They were scared out of the market after the last crash. The Fed has interest rates at near zero and have been for years now. Wealthy people with access to credit have borrowed cheap money and invested in undervalued stocks.

Let's face it...why would someone risk capital investing in a business when they've got an anti-business incumbent President who's spent much of his three plus years in office attacking different business sectors in an effort to divert attention from his own faulty policies? Unless you're a "green company" or hire union workers, this Administration is not going to be your friend if you try to build a business...just ask Boeing or Gibson Guitars.

Of course they are. Who would hire domestically with the real and present danger of Obama hanging over their heads?

'Gallup polled small-business owners (value under $20M) about their expansion plans in early January, which for some strange reason didn’t get reported until today. Among those who do not plan to hire — 85% of the entire sample — almost half of all such businesses cited expected costs from health care coverage and government regulation:

U.S. small-business owners who aren’t hiring — 85% of those surveyed — are most likely to say the reasons they are not doing so include not needing additional employees; worries about weak business conditions, including revenues; cash flow; and the overall U.S. economy. Additionally, nearly half of small-business owners point to potential healthcare costs (48%) and government regulations (46%) as reasons. One in four are not hiring because they worry they may not be in business in 12 months.'

Waiting on the sidelines eh? Trillions. And you think that lack of capital and not lack or demand is the issue? I bet you would give anything to back that up. But you can't.

You think all those under employed and un employed and those with jobs paying less than their old job, think they might not be spending much?

You think people might hold off buying a house while the market is unstable?

You think the people whose houses lost thousands in equity might wait a while before they start spending again.

And how do you think additional capital will fix a lack of demand? Your friends gonna give away money to me? I'll spend it. Promise. Send me your money.

Do you understand that our economy is driven by consumer spending? Like 70% of the economy.

Or a better question; do you think you might be wrong about what you think. Your shit is pretty ragged most of the time.

OK. Your turn. Insult away.

American only succeeds when obama fails. Wanting obama to fail is wanting prosperity.

Consumer demand drives employment. Corporations continue to exploit every cheap source of labor on the planet, with zero regard for American patriotism.

What a strange coincidence. About the same number of people say they would vote for Mittens.
Bet they didn't talk to many women business owners. Or miniorty business owners.

And even more strange. The owners were worried about a lack of demand for their goods or services.

Didn't see it mentioned that lack of available capital was the issue.

Hilarious, really. Corporations give you exactly what you demand.

You do realize that Liberals are the least likely demographic to buy a domestic label automobile, for example?

:cuckoo:

With all due respect, Boo? Might be time to get the glasses checked...

The notion of healthcare reform WAS very popular. The American people wanted something done about exploding costs. ObamaCare, however, is NOT popular because it didn't bring down the average persons healthcare costs...it actually increased them. That's the reason why Democrats are running AWAY from ObamaCare this election cycle instead of running ON it.

And this ridiculous talk of not allowing teens to work on family farms illustrates how completely out of touch with reality progressives really are.

Which would you rather live in:

1. A purely capitalistic society?

2. A purely socialistic society?

3. A healthy combination of both?

Obamacare was watered down to get it passed - because the party of NO wouldn't help.

The family farm shit never happened.
