Well, the devil is in the details.
The law requires that the governor sign the submitted elector certificates.
The law says the certificates must be signed in the Capitol building.

Neither took place.
They broke the law and knew they were breaking the law. So much so that they even discussed hiding out in the Capitol the night before just to claim that they met the requirement. This was done with forethought, and knowledge of illegalities. They went ahead and did it anyway. And now, the piper awaits pay.

They falsely claimed...illegally claimed.....Don Trump won and then signed that that was so and then submitted those documents to Mike Pence, and the National Archives. They lied.
That was illegal.....not an 'alternative' truth.

They also lied as to where they signed the documents. They knew where they should be signed. The law is explicit. They weren't there. And then lied about it.
Lying under such circumstances ....about official proceedings of our electoral processes.....is a crime.

And a piper will be paid for this jackassery by Michigan's GOP leadership, and maybe, just maybe....so will some members of the Trump campaign. This cake is still baking.
