DOJ asked to investigate ID voter laws

I have been giving answers all day.

The republican party has been working to keep legal voters from voting for decades and there is court documents to prove it.

This is an attempt by the republicans to continue their march of keeeping legal Americans from participating in our democracy

Is it the policy of the Democratic Party that illegal alien Mexican assassins be allowed to vote in US elections?
Or is that just your policy?

It is without a doubt the republican policy to keep legal american voters from participating in our democracy

That's great, throw those politicians in jail then. But that has nothing to do with voter id laws. Id laws only prevent those from voting that don't have enough interest in it to spend 10 minutes to get an id. Unless you are someone who wasn't supposed to vote to begin with.

Caging (voter suppression) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

1980s

In 1981 and 1986 the Republican National Committee (RNC) sent out letters to predominately African-American neighborhoods. When tens of thousands of them were returned undeliverable, the party successfully challenged the voters and had them deleted from voting rolls. Due to the violation of the Voting Rights Act, the RNC was taken to court. Its officials entered a consent decree which prohibited the party from engaging in anti-fraud initiatives that targeted minorities or conducting mail campaigns to "compile voter challenge lists."[5]

[edit] 2004 US Election

BBC journalist Greg Palast obtained an RNC document entitled "State Implementation Template III.doc" that described Republican election operations for caging plans in numerous states. The paragraph in the document pertaining to caging was:

V. Pre Election Day Operations New Registration Mailing
At whatever point registration in the state closes, a first class mailing should be sent to all new registrants as well as purged/inactive voters. This mailing should welcome the recipient to the voter rolls. It is important that a return address is clearly identifiable. Any mail returned as undeliverable for any reason, should be used to generate a list of problematic registrations. Poll watchers should have this list and be prepared to challenge anyone from this list attempting to vote.[6][7]

Court Cases

– Ongoing

In 1982, after caging in predominantly African-American and Latino neighborhoods, the Republican National Committee and New Jersey Republican State Committee entered into a consent decree with their Democratic party counterparts. Under that decree and its 1987 successor, the Republican party organizations agreed to allow a federal court to review proposed “ballot security” programs, including any proposed voter caging.

The consent decree has been invoked several times, by the parties to the decree and by others. Most recently, in late 2008, the Democratic National Committee and Obama for America sought to enforce the consent decree, claiming that the Republican National Committee had not submitted alleged ballot security operations for review. After the election, the Republican National Committee asked the federal court to vacate or substantially modify the decree. A hearing on that motion is currently scheduled for May 5, 2009.

Have you noticed that very FEW of your democratic brethren are backing up your position despite me keeping it actively bumped at the top of the list? Wonder why that is? I don't...

How does purging the voter rolls of people who no longer live at their registered address in anyway suppress legal voters?

Judge Denies Republicans’ Effort To End Voter Intimidation Consent Decree

December 9, 2009 by Personal Liberty News Desk

Last week, a federal judge in New Jersey rejected an attempt by the Republican National Committee (RNC) to dissolve a 27-year-old court order that is intended to prevent the intimidation of minority voters.

Stemming from a lawsuit brought forth by the Democratic National Committee in 1982, a consent decree was agreed upon which forced the RNC to gain court approval to use certain election tactics, including the creation of voter challenge lists, photographing voters at the polls and posting off-duty police at voting locations in minority neighborhoods, according to The New York Times.

Awesome, you have displayed your ability to internet search. Now try to use it effectively to prove your point. What you just posted has nothing to do with a voter id requirement.

It is without a doubt the republican policy to keep legal american voters from participating in our democracy

It is without a doubt the democrat policy to allow illegal alien mexican assassins to vote in our democracy.

Now prove the democrats did that

Any democrat who makes voting so easy, a Mexican assassin can do it, is to blame.
Anyone who stops a common sense voter ID program that would have stopped him from registering, TWICE, is to blame.

Here's your sign.
