Well let's break this down:

How many casualties in Watergate? 0

How many casualties in Operation Fast and Furious? 150 give or take.

If you consider mexican casualities it's well over 50,000.

However, if you ignore all the deaths, Watergate was worse.

Compared to the criminal acts now, Watergate was trivial. It was really nothing. Today it would be no more than a tempest in a tea pot. It was a break in to steal campaign plans. It's hardly worth a mention today.

What might come back to hurt obama is that one of the results of Watergate is the "Nixon Standard", which means that executive privilege cannot be used to hide executive wrongdoing.

Here's the thing: the initial bitch by the neocons/teabaggers/libbertarians was that Holder was covering up the failure that caused a death of a US law official.

Well, when all was said and done, that wasn't the case, despite the ballyhoo by the neocon/teabagger Congress/Senate members.

So essentially, you had a failure of a sting operation THAT WAS STARTED UNDER THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION (of which NO CONSERVATIVE COMPLAINED ABOUT) AND CONTINUED BY THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION. It happens, and no one is celebrating that fact.
