We hated to do it but we would have to burn the villages, kill all the animals and spray gallons of diesel on the rice that the community had piled in rice huts. We would let the people take their belongings and leave. After it was publicized in the States, Congress passed laws forbidding S&D. BTW, we never killed or injured the civilians and we hated to kill the animals.
