Debka seems to think so, at least for the moment:

"When Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon informed a Knesset panel Monday, June 3, that Syrian rebels still occupied four Damascus districts, debkafile’s intelligence sources reported that the battle for the Syrian capital was all but over...

"Barring small pockets of resistance, Bashar Assad’s army had virtually regained control of the city in an epic victory. From those pockets, the rebels can’t do much more than fire sporadically.

"They can no longer launch raids, or pose threats to the city center, the airport or the big Syrian air base nearby."

Israel's massive bombardment of Iranian weapons destined for Hezbollah one month ago seem to have come with some unintended consequences and at least one new reality; The IDF will soon face for the first time Hezbollah units equipped with heavy weapons and missiles opposite Israel's Golan Heights outposts and villages.

No wonder Zionists from London, to Paris, to New York continue calling for other people's children to fight and die in Syria. Anyone from AIPAC ready for their Pat Tillman moment?

Are you trying to say Hezbollah is planning on attacking the Golan Heights ??

Oh and what a surprise, Muslim terrorists hiding and operating in civilian villages ! LOL

I can see it already. HEzbollah launching missiles from outside the GOlan, Israel retaliates, civlians get killed as a result and the Arab world condemns Israel.

If Hezbollah so much as spits in the Golan Heights, it will give Israel a great opportunity to destroy that sect of Hezbollah: The Party of Satan

Have you already forgotten the heroic Jews most recent exploits in Lebanon?

"The 2006 Lebanon War, also called the 2006 Israel–Hezbollah War and known in Lebanon as the July War[44] (Arabic: حرب تموز*, Ḥarb Tammūz) and in Israel as the Second Lebanon War (Hebrew: מלחמת לבנון השנייה*, Milhemet Levanon HaShniya),[45] was a 34-day military conflict in Lebanon, northern Israel and the Golan Heights.

"The principal parties were Hezbollah paramilitary forces and the Israeli military. The conflict started on July 12, 2006, and continued until a United Nations-brokered ceasefire went into effect in the morning on August 14, 2006, though it formally ended on September 8, 2006 when Israel lifted its naval blockade of Lebanon."

How many civilians did the IDF kill during those 34 days of glory?
How many IDF troops made it to the Litani?

It certainly isn't the children from those families who profit most from oil sales and arms sales.

Gilad Atzmon in CounterPunch:

"In the last week we have been following British and French’s desperate attempts to push for a military intervention in Syria. It is far from being a secret that both British and French government are dominated by the Jewish Lobby.

"In Britain it is the ultra Zionist CFI (Conservative Friends of Israel) – apparently 80% of Britain’s conservative MPs are members of the pro Israeli Lobby. In France the situation is even more devastating, the entire political system is hijacked by the forceful CRIF."

Of course we have AIPAC whining for other people's blood to pay for their oil.

I think I misunderstood what Toast meant when he discouraged Hezbollah from spitting in the Golan.
However, I still maintain this war in Syria is widening, and Lebanon may be forced to deal with another IDF/(NATO?) onslaught.

Houses that contain weapons, houses that house terrorists, are actually not houses. They are legit military targets. What's funny, is that you never bring up the events that lead up to the war.
Let me refresh your memory :
Hezbollah launched rockets into Israel as a diversion. They then set off explosives they planted on the Israeli side of the border while two military vehicles were patrolling the borders. Total of 5 soldiers were killed. Hezbollah instigated the war, and then they cry over civilian casualties. How many more Lebanese need to be killed until Nasrallah realizes that attacking Israel gets him NOWHERE ! It only causes death and destruction.

Speaking of brave, remember the prisoner exchange for the two dead IDF soldiers who's bodies were captured in the border raid? One of the prisoners that Israel released stands out: Samir Kuntar , who killed several ISraelis, including two that he smashed their skulls with a rock :
Kuntar was convicted in an Israeli court for murder of an Israeli policeman, Eliyahu Shahar, 31 year-old Danny Haran, and Haran's 4-year-old daughter, Einat Haran, whom he killed with blunt force against a rock. He was also convicted of indirectly causing the death of two-year-old Yael Haran by suffocation, as her mother, Smadar, tried to quiet her crying while hiding from Kuntar.[2] In 1980 Kuntar was sentenced to four life sentences.[2
DO you recall the hero's welcome he received when being released???
A guy who murdered innocent civilians, including a 4 year old girl who's head he crushed with a rock, got a HEROS WELCOME. These are the people you defend Georgie.

How many Hezbollah 'troops' entered ISraeli territory btw ?

I was not taking about the 2006 war. What made you think that ??
Also, when I said 'IF Hezbollah so much spits in the Golan", I'm sure you know what I meant. I was implying that if Hezbollah decides to attack Israel unprovoked, like they did in 2006, then Israel will answer back, and in a way that will make Hezbollah think 5 times before they decide to attack Israel in the future. Unless of course, you think Israel should restrain herself and do nothing in a situation like this ?

Israel is not in any battle for Damascus, it is looking out for itself as any country would.

However only a blind person would not be able to see that what's happening in Syria is terrible for Hezbollah and even worse for Iran. When the opposition takes over Syria, and that will be only matter of time, they will be massacring all of Assad's Hezbollah goons for being his best friends and helping him commit genocide on Syrians all these years. And they will be on good terms with Israel.

Probably about zero which might suggest to a rational person who the aggressor was (again)
Do you disagree with any of the following?

"The conflict began when militants from the group Hezbollah fired rockets at Israeli border towns as a diversion for an anti-tank missile attack on two armored Humvees patrolling the Israeli side of the border fence.[46]

"The ambush left three soldiers dead.

"Two additional soldiers, believed to have been killed outright or mortally wounded, were taken by Hezbollah to Lebanon.[46][47] Five more were killed in a failed rescue attempt.

"Israel responded with airstrikes and artillery fire on targets in Lebanon aimed at Lebanese civilian infrastructure, including Beirut's Rafic Hariri International Airport,[48] an air and naval blockade,[49] and a ground invasion of southern Lebanon.

"Hezbollah then launched more rockets into northern Israel and engaged the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in guerrilla warfare from hardened positions.[50]

"The conflict is believed to have killed at least 1,191–1,300 Lebanese people,[51][52][53][54] and 165 Israelis.[55] It severely damaged Lebanese civil infrastructure, and displaced approximately one million Lebanese[56] and 300,000–500,000 Israelis.[21][57][58]"

2006 Lebanon War - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

How did that ground invasion of southern Lebanon turn out?

Israel was met with heavy resistance that they didn't expect. Mainly due to Hezbollah's ability to get direct hit on tanks using the Russian made 9M133 Kornet anti - tank missile.
Once thing I have no doubt about is that Israel learned more about their enemy and learned more from their mistakes. Luckily for Israel's ability to produce tailor made weapons:

So, what was Hezbollah's reason for attacking Israel ?

And you just admitted yourself that Lebanon started the war, yet you call the Israelis the aggressors?
The border had been relatively peaceful since Israel's withdrawal from Lebanon in 2000, I don't see why Israel would have ANY reason to start a war. In fact , it was Hezbollah who had the motive: The release of Lebanese prisoners.

Did they expect to launch rockets into Israel, kill 5 IDF soldiers patrolling the border, and not get retaliated against ????

Actually Georgie, Roudy is correct.

I mean, your mind is embedded is a world of conspiracy theories that are sometimes so far from reality. You take a simple article, and you twist everything up.
Don't get me wrong, I respect you and other people's desire to further investigate articles concerning these issues when they feel like there is more to the story , but you really take it too far sometimes

Israel was still holding Lebanese political prisoners from its occupation.
