Democrats win last two Wisconsin recall elections

You are forgetting that the Wisonsin Senators who were elected in 2010 and Gov. Walker aren't eligible for recall until they've been in office for a year. That comes up in January.

In other words, 'You just wait until the recall... we'll show you!'..... again... right?

Wow. Dems held onto their minority position. They sure showed us!

Laugh it up while you can. January is just around the corner.

That's what you nimrods said about THESE recalls. You were all hyped up about retaking the WI legislature.

You failed.

Democratic incumbents win Wisconsin recalls - The Fix - The Washington Post

Two Wisconsin Democratic state senators survived recall elections Tuesday night, leaving Republicans with a narrow 17 to 16 majority in the upper chamber.

State Sen. Bob Wirch (D) defeated corporate attorney Jonathan Steitz (R) in the 22nd district. State Sen. Jim Holperin (D) is fighting tea party activist Kim Simac (R) in the 12th.

Gov. Scott Walker (R) won both seats in the 2010 election, but the Republican-leaning 12th district was more seriously contested.

That means Democrats have won two recalls in the state this summer; Republicans have won none.

And YOU LOST--:lol::lol:

BTW--in case you didn't notice--there is already a thread on this--:cuckoo:

Actually, we won. We kept these two seats and gained two from Repubs. You lost. So two similar threads were created at the same time. Wow, that never happens. Thanks for pointing that out, ball-smear.

Yup, a month ago it was " Just wait till the election" now it is "just wait till January". assuming they even try to recall anyone and lose what will it be then? "wait until November"?

I have a strong feeling if the Democrats had won another seat to take the majority, the right for the most part would be awfully quiet tonight.

That being said, this fight is far from over. Democrats retained all their seats. They went and took two seats from GOP incumbents. Certainly better than nothing.

I personally can't wait until Walker gets recalled. He is far more unpopular than the GOP candidates up for recall recently.

In a related story.....

A family photo album was saved from a burning house earlier today. The house burned to the ground and was a total loss along with $20 million in cash, but WOOHOO!!! what a victory!! They saved that photo album!!

Uh huh.

Like I said before there were a bunch of nimrods who were claiming they wouldn't even be able to get the sigs needed to make the recalls happen and look how that turned out.

You are crowing and declaring victory before the war is over.

Enjoy it while it lasts.

Even with the money Republicans, including the Koch brothers, poured into the state recall elections, Democrats kept all three of their seats, won two Republican seats and barely lost in three out of four of the other races.

It's pretty clear what Democrats are fighting for.

What are Republicans fighting for?

How disingenuous of you...

National and state liberal groups, led primarily by public employee labor unions, have pumped well in excess of $14,000,000 into the Wisconsin state senate recall electio

The folks at the MacIver Institute for Public Policy, a Wisconsin-based free market think tank, have compiled a stunning infographic on the network of liberal groups, most of them labor unions, that have poured money into the State Senate recall elections.

The elections, which will be held Tuesday, are the latest battle in an ongoing political war in Wisconsin that began with Gov. Scott Walker’s budget reform bill, which trimmed the ability of the state’s public sector workers to collectively bargain.

The MacIver Institute’s data was all gathered from official records filed with the government of Wisconsin. Click the image above for a larger view.

that's awesome!

somehow, some way, against nearly insurmountable odds, they held onto their minority stake in the wisconsin senate!!

well done

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

get a grip, dillweed

Somehow, some way, against all odds, they unseated two Republicans, gaining two seats in the senate. Keep denying, cock-itch.

The argument you all made was that this recall would result in a changed control of the Senate. You LOST.

Yeah, it's hilarious that they are ignoring the fact that in January Walker and a fresh crop of Senators are next in line for recall. And the Dems just need to win one of those races.

Against all ODDS? Your side claimed it was a slam dunk, that they would resoundingly reclaim the Senate in a State that is Historically a Democratic strong hold. You lost, nice spin though, " ohh look, we are still in the minority"

At the very least, Walker is going down. Considering they just need to win one seat, they're likely to get that too.

must be tough going through life pegged to the left side of the bell curve.

Is that really that funny, or did you just get owned, and that's all you can come up with? I'm guessing the latter. Keep crying. I love it.

They have to do more than win just one seat....they also have to not lose any others.

what part of "gained two seats in the senate" eludes you? It's called a victory. I guess denial is the best medicine. It must be nice being a delusional asshole.

you were certain the Dems would win all the recalls this time. They won 2, and still are the minority party in WI.

Now, you're certain that the Dems will win all the recalls (if there are any) next year, and will again regain the majority and governorship in WI.

Your track record for picking winners appears to suck.

Man, you gotta love how deeply cons dive into denial. "Today - your side lost", says the guy from the side that just lost two seats and failed to take any seats from the other side.
