Democrats win last two Wisconsin recall elections

Got to love the way these libs trash the Koch brothers and love scum like George Soros :cuckoo: Oh... The unions in Wisconsin are loosing tons of money because of the new Wisconsin law barring the state from collecting union dues for them.

Only a few recalls have taken place in the entire history of WI, and now Dems have managed to unseat two Repubs at one time in historic recall elections, and cons act like it's a victory for Repubs. :cuckoo:

Who controls the legislature and Governorship in WI?

Who lost two seats in less than a year?
Two seats out of six that were up for recall of repubs.

Batting .333 might get you into the Baseball Hall of Fame, but in politics it doesn't give you a piece of shoe leather to chew on.

Dems still control nothing, yet airheads like you are taking Pyhrric victory laps.

Friggin' priceless...:lmao:

Typical avoidance to a simple question. That, or you honestly think the Dems won something here. In either case, your stupidity is showing.

Their career isn't over yet.

The next round is coming early next year.

They only need to win one seat.

Did they take control of the Wisconsin Senate?

No?

Well then...yay.

No, but they did get two out of three seats closer; and all they need is that one Republican who voted against Walker's budget to vote with them again. And anyway, it sends a message to Republicans. They are the real losers here. Who lost seats? Dems? No. Repubs? Yep, two of them.

Of course, there were also a few Senators who, like Walker, have just been elected and aren't eligible for a recall............yet.

Those declaring victory for the GoP in WI right now are jumping the hell out of the gun.

Where is the 'moving the goalpost' smiley?

That's exactly what we were told before this special election..."Just wait for the recall, we'll show ya!".

And it was a bigger dud than Geraldo opening Capone's vault.

Anything less than taking the senate was a loss.

Democratic incumbents win Wisconsin recalls - The Fix - The Washington Post

Two Wisconsin Democratic state senators survived recall elections Tuesday night, leaving Republicans with a narrow 17 to 16 majority in the upper chamber.

State Sen. Bob Wirch (D) defeated corporate attorney Jonathan Steitz (R) in the 22nd district. State Sen. Jim Holperin (D) is fighting tea party activist Kim Simac (R) in the 12th.

Gov. Scott Walker (R) won both seats in the 2010 election, but the Republican-leaning 12th district was more seriously contested.

That means Democrats have won two recalls in the state this summer; Republicans have won none.

And YOU LOST--:lol::lol:

BTW--in case you didn't notice--there is already a thread on this--:cuckoo:

There were many claiming the Dems wouldn't even get the sigs needed to iniate the recalls when all this first happened so I'm getting a real kick out of you talking about moving goalposts.

The battle in Wisconsin ain't over yet, dude.

Barring some new controversy it is definitely over.

You are forgetting that the Wisonsin Senators who were elected in 2010 and Gov. Walker aren't eligible for recall until they've been in office for a year. That comes up in January.

Yup, funny how a month ago they were all crowing how this was a sure thing, the Republicans would lose and the Democrats would take over. Now suddenly 2 democrats that had to face a recall are heroes for winning their seat5s AGAIN. Ohh and in January we will SEE.

Wow. Dems held onto their minority position. They sure showed us!

I had no doubt that they would get the signatures.

I even thought they had a shot of winning the Senate.

Wisconsin is a historically blue state and union stronghold.

If the Unions were going to be able to withstand a direct assault, if was going to be in Wisconsin.

But they couldn't...that was it...it's over.

Other than a few threads on this board, I have not followed the Wisconsin recall story, so I am not sure what will happen if they manage to win one more seat. Will the new democrat-controlled government undo everything that’s been done by the republicans?
