A concealed carrying state lawmaker, Rep. Marty Flynn (D), apparently opened fire on a pair of suspected armed robbers on the streets of Harrisburg, PA last night.
According to ABC27,
Harrisburg police are investigating an attempted robbery and shooting involving two State House Democrats, according to the website Capitolwire.com - The premier on-line news and information service focused on key issues directly impacted at the state level Healthcare Education Transportation Labor Taxation Environment Commerce Politics
According to the website, State Rep. Marty Flynn of Scranton and State Rep. Ryan Bizzarro of Erie were approached around 11 p.m. Tuesday near the 200 block of Herr Street. The pair was confronted by two muggers and a driver, the report said.
The suspects allegedly opened fire first and Flynn drew his firearm and returned fire.

Not sure, NRA has a page on him, but it is lacking in information.
 
Politics in Northeastern Pennsylvania HB 357 8211 Right to Bear Arms Protection Act

House Bill 357 is important legislation to gun owners in Pennsylvania. In essence, it makes any federal law enacted after December 31, 2012 that attempts to register, restrict, or ban any firearm, magazine, or accessory unenforceable in Pennsylvania. Furthermore, it provides for penalties against anyone attempting to enforce that law in the Commonwealth.
Basically, it forces federal gun control laws to remain exactly as they are today, in perpetuity.

Currently, the bill has 76 sponsors, including both Republicans and Democrats. It needs 102 for passage. Those from the Northeast not on the list of sponsors include:
