Crazy Bernie applauds Food Lines

I can see 2020 being a replay of 2016, where the young energetic voters love Bernie, but the wise old super-delegates all vote for Biden, then when Biden wins the nomination, the energy level drops and Trump wins again. The alternative of Bernie or one of the others winning the dem nomination means that Trump wins in a landslide.

My own feeling is that all of the Democrat candidates are in a competition to out-left each other. And we are heading for a repeat of 1972 as whoever the candidate is, they will be perceived as the 2nd coming of McGovern.

The result of the election will be a Trump victory, a royal schlonging of biblical proportions.

I don't think he was applauding it...just making an idiotic comparison where there is none.
This reminds me of what AOC would say today. This is the kind of eyebrow rising "WTF are you saying?" kind of a quote.
There is no context in any video I found of this, so it is hard to say what he was talking about.

Oh, geeesh-

Sanders promoted bread lines as a sign of a healthy, fair economy.

"You know, it's funny. Sometimes American journalists talk about how bad a country is when people are lining up for food. That's a good thing. In other countries, people don't line up for food. The rich get the food and the poor starve to death," Sanders lamented.

I can't wait to watch Bernie cave and support the Dem nominee again.

I'm gonna say that "That's a good thing" is pretty unambiguous.

He may get two more houses out of it...

Bernie needs a helicopter ride to Venezuela

He'll get another house out of the deal

The asshole has 3 houses now, yet runs around bashing the 'rich' he's a total phony.

I agree, it is an idiotic thing to say in any context... I am just curious as to what was the discussion that was going on that made him say this.
I don't think he is applauding or celebrating bread lines, just making a stupid argument that it is better than no bread lines and the rich get everything...and who knows what "other countries" he is speaking about. It is right out of the progressive playbook...make some statement based on a scenario that doesn't exist in an attempt to support one that does.

I can help you with that. He was trying to defend Nicaragua under the Ortega regime. He actually paid a visit to Nicaragua at the time, and came back singing its praises. When asked about the economic chaos and deprivation, and the fact that the Nicaraguan people were actually in Depression Era-style bread lines to get food, that's when he popped out with his infamous quote.

So yeah, he was applauding bread lines.

Sen. Sanders is part of the growing breed of Public Service Tycoons who are able to monetize their political successes. Sanders has been in Washington for decades, and before that he was the Kingpin of the Burlington political machine.

A Sanders Regime will most assuredly bring plenty of food lines to America.

Oh My: Bernie Sanders Thinks Bread Lines Are a Good Thing

As long as he has plenty of food in his mansion, he'll be okay with anything that happens to the people. That is always the way it goes in socialism countries. Some leftists even said that it would be good not to have so many choices when it comes to things we buy. They think too much choice is unhealthy. They'll give us what they think we need. Stale bread and water should be enough.

While they're at it, they would prefer to choose our jobs, what healthcare we receive, where we live, what we eat, how we raise our children, what mode of transportation we should have, and what we should think. The latter is being addressed through our indoctrination centers.

The loser couldn't get a real job so he went on the public dole as a politician.

There are few things I am more sick of than multi-multi-millionaire liberal capitalists who spew their hatred of capitalism and push socialism as the wave of the future. Britain's stupidest celebrity, horse's ass Russell Brand, is rather legendary for this same level of bullshit.

No, not at all. He's a Socialist Leader! He's talking about poverty for thee- not for he

Thanks, I couldn't find the context.
And I am not surprised.
The Sanders's and AOC's and all other progressive leftist in office are not socialist. And this proves it.
They are elitist. BIG difference.
They love them some socialism in that they can sit in the ivory tower of power and play God and organize society. They love socialism as long as they are at the top and not groveling at the bottom.

They are the worst of politicians out there.
Take a look right now how Democrat contenders for President are talking about reparations. The ONLY reason they are bringing it up is in hopes of getting record black vote to get them in office..at which time of course there will be no reparations. That is and will always be DOA. It would never-ever pass. And they know it.

The problem that Kamala, Pocahontas, et al are going to have in 2020 is to convince Black voters that if they are elected, their reparations ship has come in-----while at the same time winking to convince enough Honky voters they aren't serious.
