Conservatives Still Wildly Support Bush

this is one of the best threads ever.

Conservatives spent the last six months shouting that they never really supported Bush, and that they could barely force themselves to vote for him.

And yet we have a hundred post long thread of conservatives defending Bush, and making excuses for him.

This comment rest in abject delusion. No conservative has fled from supporting GW, where GW stood on valid moral principle. And no conservative has EVER supported GW where he has stood behind the ethereal facade of left-think...

In short... the author of the comment to which I am responding is an imbecile... LOL... but then, hey... what leftist isn't?

Not really. Bush claimed to be generally conservative, and turned out not to be. He especially claimed he would pursue a "humble" foreign policy, and did just the opposite.

GW has never claimed to be a conservative. He has ALWAYS stood within what he calls "Compassionate Conservatism" This has always been known to be "the 3rd way'... 'the middle way'... Progressive... Fascism.

In contrast to those he has campaigned against, he's a nationalist, meaning he stands loyal to the US and was certain to maintain steadfast in his 100% defense of the US.

Now with that said... GW HAS pursued a humble foreign policy. You simply want to define humble as something other than what it is. Humility does not require that one set aside their natural right to life; that one will not jealously defend that right and humility sure as hell does not provide a pass to those who flagrantly violate that right. GW pursued mass murderers wherever they would flee and he's done an excellent job doing it.

He's failed in many areas, but pursuing a humble foreign policy is not one of them. His failures are confined to where failure is most often found... and that is where left-think is entertained, encouraged and implemented.

I think many of those polled were unnecessarily thinking about it in terms of other than the alternative.

And like xsited1 said, neo-conservatives were lumped in.

There's no way true conservatives can still be pleased with Bush. If any are, then DiveCon, tell them what they are.. :D
