The Jews were hated because they were affluent, so they chose to pick upon a minority, take their gold, and send them all off to die. It was a huge money making scheme.

Then when the Nazis conquered a territory, they would print a currency so their soldiers could go in and "buy" whatever they wanted with the inflated currency and ship it all back home. Naturally, this f#cked the economy and Hitler simply told them to round up the Jews, take their gold to stabilize their economy, and send them to the death camps.
